I can see you have the same struggle as me when spelling Draisaitl's name.

To Edmonton:

Brandon Carlo

To Boston:

Leon Draisaitl
conditional 1st. pick

If Draisaitl extends 1st becomes 2nd.

You forgot the Oilers retaining 50% to make the money work. If that was the offer (with retention by Edmonton) the Bruins would be fools not to at least consider it, but we all know that won't happen.

Just as an aside, Ceci in Italian (that’s where his name is from) means “chickpeas.” The Bruins would be more interested in several bags of those than Cody. We have no interest in him, or Kane, or Bourgault who isn’t exactly lighting the AHL on fire. Especially for someone like Brandon Carlo.

LOL. I take it you don't watch hockey. Bad proposal followed by worse ones from Boston. Draisaitl and a 1st Draisaitl and McDavid ? Come on!

Maybe he meant #3 on a AHL team
I'm so confused.

I could see a Hyman + Ceci for Carlo + (insert some forward) making some sense.

In all honesty though, these two teams aren’t great trading partners.

I can't see that making sense at all.

Again: Boston isn't going to downgrade on D. Period. We've seen, rightly or wrongly, that they would rather be D and G focused. In the regular season Pasta is elite and they get good scoring from throughout the lineup from some fairly "Meh" guys. In the playoffs their O dries up. But that's their philosophy and they aren't moving Carlo. Maybe if they fail again next April, but zero chance in the offseason.

I would rather just trade Ceci for a pick or prospect and keep Kane upfront and Broberg as the #4. With the Oilers' new found forward depth, a healthy Kane should do very well next to Henrique and Brown on the 3rd line

You can see pardon f***in what now?

OP is terrible for Boston but don’t present this silliness like it has any basis in reality. Hyman is retiring an Oiler.

There isn’t a bruins fan on the planet that would be happy with this trade.

Both sides hate it.

So it must be a good trade. Kudos OP.

I think one Oilers fan said they don’t want Carlo, which is nuts.

It’s two cap dumps and a mediocre prospect for a top four right shot defensive defenseman. Only one side should hate it.
