Series Talk: ECSFs Discussion - All The Smoke Edition - Panthers Lead 3-2

You don’t have to believe it, but Pagnotta said on a pod with Nick Alberga he knows what’s ailing Chucky and it’s not groin or hernia

Not saying he heard saying he knows, but recovery is 4-6 months

If he is to be believed, I’ll say it’s hip injury then

Man I am worried that TOR will use the money coming off Marner to throw it at Bennett... I am sure no Leafs fan would complain about such a move right now.

I admire our team for one special thing: after ERod's head injury and Domi trying to hurt Barky at the end of the game, many fans were screaming for retaliation in a physical violent way. Well guess what, these Cats retaliate where it really hurts: on the scoreboard!

No rushing back. I want healthy Tkachuk. Not the player currently on the ice.

They will be stupid to let Marner walk, What Toronto does not get is that the supporting players around him are not like the Panthers, it is a structural change up and down the lines, they might be back to the playoff again, they are that good, but they have to flip about 4-5 players so they can go deep in POs

Well, let him enjoy the Cup celebration and parties first. The surgery, if needed, around the end of September, early October. 6 months will take him to April, just in time.

I'm torn, if we win this series, who's tears do I want to drink the most, Toronto fans, or butthurt Tampax fans? They're soooo butthurt about these last 3 games it's hilarious hahahaha
My opinion differs in the sense that I think we have a bigger rivalry with Toronto than Tampa, I think Tampa is more of geographical rivalry, while Toronto has always been at the fore front of trashing the Panthers the longest, and Toronto fans are just so easy to hate, most of them have punchable faces, so why not.
They will never admitted, buy it is pure jealousy.

Would be a good move if it could help us retain Marchand, Benny and Ekky…

Verhaeghe - Barkov - Reinhart
Samoskevich* - Bennett - Tkachuk
Luostarinen - Lundell - Marchand
Greer* - Boqvist - Gadjovich*

Forsling - Ekblad
Mikkola* - Jones
Balinskis* - Kulikov

Bobrovsky*
Black*

Players with an asterisk are up in summer 26… Samoskevich will have to take a one-year « can’t pay you rookie sorry, you’re on a cup contending team » miserable deal and look to extend in 26… With the cap going up and probably a Bob pay-cut, we would be in a good position to extend Mikkola and Samo… And in 27, the only big piece is Eetu !

Still missing a young piece on defense and another couple of gems to emerge if we really want to extend our window… But as for the next 5-6 years, let’s say Barky’s contract-length…

We look to be pretty pretty good going forward as long as Zito manages next summer well ! He has some pretty big decisions to make…

Let’s enjoy the run ! :P
If we keep Marchand, we will have another deep run in 2026, book it!!

morbid curiosity had me watching leafs youtube channels all day and came upon this

don't know if this guy's got real sources but 4-6 months?

also heard that bennett's going to resign.

after all the crap i've heard today, i'm a little scared. nobody's giving them a chance. last night might have been the kick in the balls this leafs teams needs. what would be more dramatic that winning in game 7 sunday to vanquish their demons??? last night's game notwithstanding, they're still a good team and capable of beating us. if they're a dangerous, injured animal, we need to put them down tomorrow.

Hopefully the people in charge have enough sense to know that a healthy Tkachuk is our best chance at success, no matter how long it takes, and hopefully Tkachuk himself agrees.

But that's after this year's playoffs, until then, just pump him full of drugs.

I used to be a lurker because it was so toxic , any comment turned into a Yandle symphony, and other players from before, Toxicity is way down here, and actually we talk about hockey, they are a few still stuck on the FatBlad and Rodriguez jokes, But he is showing on the ice that you guys are wrong. so, yeah, I will continue to shit-post as usual and you guys will like it. The End.

That first Tampa series was fun and exciting for any hockey fan. The first game was one of the best playoff games in recent memory even though we lost. They were clearly the better team and we were inexperienced and took it in 6. Second meeting was trash. Frustration-fest with the Panthers keeping the President’s trophy curse alive. The 2 after that, was more of the same really. One team dominating, in this case, us. So yeah I agree, geographically and division rivals, but the series have been lopsided and only the first one had memorable playoff intensity.

With Toronto, the first series was the same as Tampa’s last 3. We simply dominated and was wash. It’ll remain to be seen on this current one. Yes it’s had its drama but if it ends tomorrow then it’ll suffer the same fate and I’d say the rivalry is brewing but the lopsidedness continues.

Boston. That’s who I would count as the real rivalry these past couple of seasons. We’ve always beaten them going back to our first meeting in 96. For what that second meeting in 23’ meant and going to 7 games in an epic epic game 7 of historic proportion. And the meeting last year, even though we won in 6, was brutal. Didn’t one of the games break the records for most hits ever recorded?

With the current format. That’s what the NHL wants and we continue to see the same teams and if we continue facing them and are successful the fans will hate our team even more. But from a hockey perspective. I think Boston so far has been the more grudge match although yeah depending on what happens in this series Toronto would be second.
