It's not, but you think back to 2012.

NYR took 7 games to win two exhausting series against Ottawa and Washington, including coming back from 3-2 down against Ottawa (That series where whats his name ran Boyle) and then going back and forth with the Caps.

Everyone expected us to beat New Jersey, but they had handled their previous opponent in five games and were much better rested.

The games played take their toll. IF we advance, (and that's very much an IF, this is a heck of a series we have going so far) Tampa is going to have had like a week off before game 1 if it takes all 7 games. Round 3 likely starts June 1st or 2nd. They'd be rusty, but rested.

But then the opposite could happen where too much rest isn't always a good thing. If the Rangers advance, maybe they could take game 1 at home based off just that.
