This series was right there for the taking. What a wasted opportunity this postseason is going to turn out to be.

I mean, if we do end up losing this series, we got a ton of experience and played the Canes tough. Your first trip back to the playoffs with a new core doesn’t have to be your only Cup run and we shouldn’t be thinking of it that way. Other than Kreider’s magic 50 goal season there is nothing here that’s not replicable.

We need more young center talent, our young D needs to mature/graduate from Hartford, and Kakko, Laf, Chytil, Krav and Othmann have to arrive/take steps.

We will be ok if we can get some young centers in here.
