9 million dollars per year for the next several years. It's about cost principles, not the salary cap. Game 3 OT goal was amazing. I'm waiting for another gear.

New Jersey will be no easy out. The Hurricanes will have to deal with this us and likely lose at this point. I am sincere, they are goi g to fold like cheap lawn chairs. Luke Hughes was a game changer they will have to deal with.

We are moving on to the Leafs folks.
I'd like to see us stop a puck first before I'm 'that' confident...five goals a game the first three games. We're gonna have to win three more track meets (which is hard to do) unless someone clamps down in net.

Goaltending questions is a two way street. Freddie wasn't good and got chased and this kid they put in there was even worse.

Then you got Raanta who also sucks and is sick
We can beat their goalies if we can get through their defense. We couldn't get through their defense with the line matching in Carolina, I don't think we can win a track meet there. Gonna need better goaltending at some point ourselves.

I think they gotta go back to Schmid for game 4.
Yep because Vitek looks shaky right now and Schmid has not seemed to feel the pressure as much. But that said, I can’t say that Schmid in games one and two was any better than Vanecek was today. Jarvis picks the same high glove side on both of them for one point of comparison.

One way or another, we aren’t winning this series unless our play in goal steadies. The Canes play in goal was abysmal today and we can’t rely on that continuing.

The narrative of us shitpumping teams 5v5 and getting rocked on special teams is holding true.

If we actually scored on one of those PPs in the first period of game two it might have gone totally different.
Well at least it was only half our special teams that sucked today...the PK did it's job and at least got one shorty. It's the Brunette PP that was drunk on the ice.

I think we need to just come to grips that goaltending is a weakness for this team. Schmid had some hot games at the perfect time, but he let in some stoppable goals in games 1 and 2.

What’s weird is that in this edition of the NHL, you can make a run even with suspect goaltending.
True, nobody except maybe Dallas has potentially great goaltending at this point and we wouldn't have to worry about that for a month at least. But if we are going to have suspect goaltending, the D and PP need to do a better job protecting our goalies.

Bob is another one. You never know what Bob you're going to get but he's kicked it back up to Vezina Bob level.

and the Canes play in goal is bound to be better than it was today, really it couldn’t have been worse. Probably 4 of our goals were soft. Meier and Jack #2 for sure and the plays on the Macleod and Wood breakaways weren’t exactly world class.

Freddie might be better but that kid really didn't impress me at all when we got him at the Rock earlier this year, and Raanta well we know how shaky HE can be if he gets back in there (exhibit A last year against the Rangers).

I don't think Staal is even that good anymore, but having Haula and Palat on his line did nothing to help Jack.

I think Staal is still pretty good at hounding other players and keeping them down. He still did an outstanding job of outscoring, outshooting and out chancing his opposition this year and his primary linemates were Fast and Martinook. They played a lot of low event hockey, but they still came out on top.

Tell that to Damon Severson since both actual short-handed goals were due to him not keeping pucks in front of him, because he spaced out twice while playing 2:06 on the PP.

Hamilton played 3:28 on the PP and the Penalty Shot wasn’t remotely his fault considering 1) Martinook read and intercepted a bad pass by Luke 2) Hamilton caught up to him and got a bizarrely terrible call on a stick lift.

Actually one of the goals was cuz Tatar is an idiot. And the other SH goal, Severson wasn't even on the ice....Not sure what game you were watching.

Unless there's something I personally missed, Bahl only had 5:50 of ice time today.

He seems to be the one trending as the odd man out as things are currently going.
Ruff basically said it had nothing to do with going 11/7 and it was because he struggled.

So many ppl shit on Severson and it's undeserved most of the time.

No one left in this playoffs has good goaltending. That can't be an excuse going forward.
