I think it's the way the Leafs lost that's a concern. Panthers are going to tell themselves they need to be better and probably come out flying in game 3.

In the playoffs you generally need to win most of the games you had in the bag. Giving up leads where you ask yourself how did that happen are the worst, because it can be tough to deal with mentally and carry over a bit. I think Toronto had the benefit of this last series when Tampa lost all 3 home games in OT.

Leafs are by no means getting dominated, and if they get one win that can turn into 2 or 3, but going down 3-0 would be a big hill to climb.

It is realistic to know the series is not over.

As a Panther fan, having zero expectations on a team that qualified on the last day makes this so easy to watch. Zero worry about if they lose. It’s weird. And they just keep winning. Grateful to be along for the ride.
Yeah I have the exact same feelings as a Rangers fan.
But it's only because the Rangers are shit that I have zero expectations.

Have to say the goalie on florida is very good. Never heard of him before but in last two games hes been best goalie in nhl. This series comes down to samsonov vs bobrovsky and so far its not even been close

For only 2 out of 5 games.

Assuming that the Panthers don't pick it up again (Montour was quiet for this game), and the Leafs don't lay an egg as they have a habit of doing.
Panthers haven't really picked anything up in this series at all. Both teams were asleep in game 1, Panthers were slightly better and won. Game 2 the actual 5 on 5 play was not even close, it was 99% Bobrovsky saving them.

Florida cannot expect to keep playing that poorly and win games.

People can’t grasp this concept of score-adjusted expected goals. The more Bobrovsky plays like a champ in this game, the less the offense has to do. It’s not ideal - ideal is blowing your opponent out and shutting them out. But they are winning their games that way.

Still isn't over, but I think this game 2 was like Lightning's blown 4-1 lead during game 4. There's certain moments during any series that turns them, I believe this game 2 was that moment. Good news for Leafs, it's early and there's plenty of time left to recover. If you're going to go down 2 games during any series, best that's happens right away.

Florida is showing some grit these playoffs and outplaying strong teams since Bob's return.

What’s it like watching your team come back from behind constantly?
