Bennett is actually looking to injure guys. He's playing an extreme version of the attrition game and they did this to Marchand in the Boston series. They're literally trying to take guys like Knies out. Trying to injure Bunting. We have police on our team. I think they should do their job here and not just escalate when it's the Lightning. Even with the McCabe trade, it feels like we're missing at least one top 4 guy.

Might be because we were hoping Gio could still be that, but unfortunately it looks like age is finally catching up.

Nothing against Gio. Love the guy and love that he wanted to sign here....but he has NOT been good in the playoffs.

Gio turned into Spezza on D as the season wore on and the quality of Brodie's play has also been deteriorating. So between Rielly struggling and then getting better, Brodie being unreliable and Holl completely imploding, our cheaply constructed defense core is showing some issues even though they've done a good job patching it up.

It's just a cheaply put together blueline with too many ifs, buts, maybes, hopefullys.

leafs cant gain easy entries, while panthers are not only allowed easy entries but are f***ing given the puck on cutezy plays when leafs finally get the possession after playing chicken in the d-zone

Tavares continues to suck major ass 5on5 and yet keeps getting minutes with either nylander or marner as his wingers wasting away their minutes -> if that wasn't enough -> his lazy ass low IQ bullshit play puts Leafs on PK to start the 3rd period

You're right. Maybe the whole team just needs to go into the corner with Bennett and give him a shot or two here and there. Team effort.

Kill the penalty, build some momentum, get the tying goal and then go from there.
