Leafs need to find that extra gear. They were outplayed in the last series, but got bailed out by bad goaltending and favourable bounces. They need to figure out how to put together a full 60 minute effort if they have any ambitions to win the cup.

The Ducks got rid of the wrong dman in Montour, they should have got rid of Fowler.

I mean, Montour spent a lot of time being really pretty garbage...before he randomly became the Panthers #1D out of nowhere.


Fowler is still a real good defenceman. I'd still take Fowler on the established resume. But there's no question Anaheim really goofed up their whole defenceman situation back to that Vegas expansion draft.

What are you talking about? Look at the expected goals, the stats, or the SOG. They have the same number of SOG, with Florida having double the goals despite the Leafs having the better chances.
