I agree, I'm just an armchair ******* obvi but I felt so much more comfortable with him in there tonight, have to think the players feel similarly.

He's making the saves he's supposed to make, and some he isn't. That's exactly what you want from your goalie.

Sid - Kunitz - Dupuis (**** order) had the best 5-on-5 shift of any line tonight.

I don't know . . . that one from Kunitz-Malkin-Neal was pretty ridiculous in the first (and I'm not talking about the one where Geno scored).

And, lest we forget, the other Kunitz-Sid-Duper shifts weren't so hot.

This is the problem. Being with Kunitz and Duper is better for Sid. Being with Iginla and Duper is better for the team.

Sid looked WAY better in the first than he did in the third, so I don't really think it worked.

However, when he started throwing out Adams with Malkin and Neal and Kennedy with Sid and Kunitz, it led me to believe he was really just ****ing around.

I think Sid's been fine, but I'm sure he'd love to get that thing off his face.

Edit:

I hope you're right here.

That's what I don't get. The lack of goals from Duper-Sid-Iggy wasn't from a lack of chances or a lack of dictating play.

Not sure I agree. We'll see. Again, I'm concerned about getting all 4 lines going, not just Geno's. I know you'll say the same, but Sid's line had no zone time 5-on-5 with Iggy. I'm not saying they go back to Iggy - Geno - Neal, because that's not good for the team, either, but ... Bennett needs to be back in the line up :)

The Sens are such a nothing organization and want to be treated like the Habs or Leafs. They're like that loser gang in The Warriors that didn't even get the invite to the big meeting in the Bronx... can you dig it?

Text book hockey by the Pens. I hope they curb stomp this team and send the Red Scarf Parade for their spritzers.

If the **** hits the fan Bylsma will go back to the well again.

You hope it was, but this is Bylsma we're talking about. Relatively speaking, he's potentially a bigger threat to the Pens not making the conference finals than anyone.

EDIT: Funny thing is, Sid had one great shift, one meh shift, and one shift in his own zone with Kunitz and Dupuis. BUT, Neal at LW was a one way ticket to the penalty box.

Bylsma is a spy meant to sabotage the Pens!!!

I agree with everything here. In reference to the bolded, I think this could change if Sid and Iggy got more acclimated with playing together.

But I'll wait for the next practice lines to come out to judge the situation.

I still think it was a great read by DB to throw it together.
Up to that point, the top 2 lines weren't generating much, in the 2nd and start of the third.

I agree he is a beast, I would put him 4-5 best sniper on team and he does not even get pp1 or pp2 minutes...

Agreed, I think you guys have to sign him. His speed and his 'north-south' game compliments the skilled players around him really well. He may not have soft hands but his hard work makes it up for it.

How many points did Geno have?
