**** those guys twice, this just got personal. Joe Vitale has been the best 4th liner on a team. He's one of three reasons the Penguins aren't golfing right now.

Well in the interest of fairness the person who said it said that he was good in the Isles series but he was one of our worst players all year. So at least he got if half right.

I don't want to be "that guy" and post in the Ottawa forum refuting stuff, but for some reason Sens fans are under the impression that: a) the Pens are seriously banged up; and b) Joe Vitale was one of the Pens' worst players this season.

On point A, I don't get it. The Pens are as healthy as they've been in years. Crosby is wearing the jaw protector thing but it's not affecting his play whatsoever. Malkin's shoulder is probably bothering him but it's not stopping him from racking up points. Neal is healthy. Letang is healthy. Orpik is healthy. Martin is healthy. We have zero players scratched due to injury right now. Like I said, I don't get it.

On point B....I don't even know what to say about that. We call him Joe Victory for a reason.

Wait, they insulted Joe ****ing Vitale?

NO ONE insults Joe ****ing Vitale and lives to tell about it.

Penguins are going to sweep this ****ing series. **** you Senators. **** you and the gladiator you rode in on. ****.

I cant wait! This series will be great, i think so. Lot of hits, maybe fights. Defense have to play much better than against the Isles. Hopefully Despres will play tonight, he was good vs the Isles. Nisky was bad, really bad. I hope Eaton takes Nisky's spot in the lineup. Hopefully Voky will start in Game 1.

Is morning skate today?

Pens In 6!

Forecast for Tuesday:

Partly sunny in the Pittsburgh area with light winds, high in the 60s and a 100% chance that Paul Martin made an omlette for Ellen this morning. He calls it "The Butch Cutie." Neal was not invited. Incensed... he decided to wash his hair.

You gotta problem with that?!

I have a bad feeling about this. But at least we get to see our team play 4 more games.

Like a 'my wife cooked dinner and expects me to eat it even thought I can't identify what she made' bad feeling, or a 'I haven't had a caffeinated product in 24 hours' bad feeling?

I'm excited for this series and I think if the Pens stay with Vokoun it will all work out. I do think its a mistake though for Bylsma to have Tk or Adams in over Jokinen. JJ was really good for us at the end of the season. Really its BS the guy sits befroe either one of those very mediocre players.

Malkin's shoulder is preventing him from really bombing the puck AND in one on one puck battles (where he likes to lay a shoulder into someone), but, you're right aside from that . . . team is healthy aside from Malkin's shoulder and Fleury's psyche.

EDIT: I'm not going to address that other heresy but to say that Sens fans will reap what they have sown for even daring to question HIS greatness.

Crosby is as damaged as Geno is, imo.

(not trying to turn this into another polarized Crosby/Malkin discussion, I just think people are forgetting that Crosby's face, and perhaps soul, is broken)

Sens fan here, my prediction:

Whoever win game 1 will win the series.

Good luck and enjoy the time.

You're a troublemaker stranger. You spell 'bad sass' in letters that stretch from here to Seattle.

Nisky - Tanger was a thing at the start of the season. It actually worked pretty well, IIRC, but I'm still not sure I see a point in it.

If only we had a 6'4 220lb french guy who could skate, lay the body and move the puck laying around. They could have played him the past 2 games. And he could have looked good. TOO BAD SUCH A HUMAN BEING DOESN'T EXIST ANYWHERE BY IN MY MIND.

trying to kick-start Nisky and help him rebound from the previous round?

Or trying to kick start Letang too? Letang hasn't exactly looked as good as he can (not even remotely close) paired with Despres, Eaton, Orpik, or even Martin.

I detect a small element of sarcasm in that post.

shades of Nisky-Zubov :sarcasm:

In what ways are Zubov and Letang similar?

"The way they think the game. They’re aggressive offensively. Obviously they have unbelievable skill. [Letang] skates a little better than the Zubov I played with. ‘Zuby’ was (37 years old at the time). They don’t always make the conventional play. They just look for open ice and take what’s there even if some people perceive it as a risky play."

What's key when being a defensive partner with a player like that?

"I think being in position. Being in the right position if something does break down or if he does get trapped, I’ve got to find open ice so I can give him an easy outlet. Understanding what he’s trying to do and find ice so I can always be an option for him."
