Was terrible last two playoffs. Has excuse for this year because achilles is rough to come back from but his hockey IQ isnt great even when healthy. Understand he is good value for 3 mill but better options out there and if he can get us some assets for next season I'd be ok moving on. Barkov line needs a possession player. Feel like that is when Barkov is most effective. That's why first series vs Tampa.Barkov looked decent with Marchment on his wing.

He doesn’t have to play with Barkov. He can play up and down. Fill in for injuries. Where r u gonna find a better replacement for $3 mil? U claim he is good value but there are better option? Makes no sense

I didn't think Duke was terrible tonight. Inconsistent, not great overall. Here's the thing: he clearly does not fit what the Panthers are trying to do in any way, but he's healthy and has shown he can still play. I think he has nice trade value for a team that wants to play fast break transition offense, but not so much value to the Panthers.

That's why you trade him.
