You did indeed... and I said he'd be back for the playoffs... which he was.
Yes, but it looks like it was a mistake on their part. Florida isn't good enough defensively to win a Cup this season even with a healthy Tkachuk, so better to not risk long-term damage.

Warning : Understatement of the year coming !!!

This the biggest game of the year for the Leafs as going up 3-0 vs. 2-1 afterwards makes all the difference in the World.

While Leafs have lacked that killer instinct in the past and 2-1 series result seems like the more likely, lets hope this is the game under a new coach now that puts a real nail in the coffin of the Panthers season.

Go Leafs Go

All the pressure is on Florida. The boys just need to go out and play, continue to be disciplined, and capitalize on their opportunities.

Before the series started, they asked Matthew Tkachuk if Florida felt any pressure playing the Leafs. He poo-poo'ed it, saying that they've "faced worse". So the question now is, are you still not feeling any pressure, Matthew?

Toughest game of the series coming up tonight, I think FLA knows they can't afford to go down 3-0 in the series and will be playing with some serious desperation. As long as Toronto get's the split in FLA it's a good trip for them.

Bend but don't break... Would like to see a big game from 34 tonight.
Home team most likely would try to do too much and either give Leafs good chances in counterattacks or take dumb penalties. Their desperation would be their undoing.

Panthers fans seem to think it's likely Tkachuk, who is likely done for the season at this point if so.

Went to read the Panthers GDT about who it might be and ended up seeing the video of that guy (Leafs fan) "warning" Bob. I think it's more cringey than the Ottawa fan songs.  :help:

I had a dream last night, one game was decided in regulation, Leafs had to come back from being down early and the other game was decided in OT.

I think I'm a believer, .. no Leaf fan should ever have hope... I should probably go see a Dr. .

Time for Matthews to put Florida away. Everyone else has exceeded expectations really. Just need 34 to do what he does best and score.

They are going to come out like a Rhino in heat tonight, we need to weather that first 10 minutes. Give it back just as hard, and play the hockey that gas got us here so far.

We NEED to continue to play with composure and not take any dumb penalties tonight.

We apparently dont protect Goalies anymore? WTF NHL... such a Mikey Mouse bush league DOPS ... a DDT on Knies a couple of years ago... nope that is OK.... elbow to the head and whiplash to our elite goalie.. gone for lord knows how long... elbow/forearm to the head of our back up... and crickets from the League...

So DOPS when you dont penalize players for reckless plays, the Panthers think you guys are pu*sies and will continue to make you look like pu*sies until you do somethign about it.... you are supposed to be in control of your stick at all times, no Ooopsie free passes for high stick action... so why are there elbow and forearm free passes? Are you not supposed to be in control of your body too?

No game in the second round is the biggest game of the year. The bigger games will come in a couple of rounds. In the meantime, this game will look the same as game 2 and the result will be the same (except probably a different score). Toronto will continue to exploit Florida's defense. 3-0 series lead after tonight.
