Majority of those shots came on the first PP that was cut short - it was still a very flat start from them that night. Didn't generate a whole lot at ES in the first

Yeah but there was a nervous energy about the team that was palpable, like they were gripping the sticks too tight. And once that first Ottawa goal went in, it completely deflated the group. It felt alot like game 7 of the Habs series or game 5 of the Columbus series where they just could not generate anything even if they tried. Thankfully, they snapped out of it in game 6 and played far more loose and free.

Sure, what I'm saying is the start. Panthers will come out, but I don't see us wilting out fo the gate, the crowd will provide some energy. Who knows, this team is an enigma lol.

For real. If anyone even breaths on Woll tonight they need to be eating the ice right away.

I think there are freebees for us to take in those cases... at least early in the game. IMO, we are owed some leeway there. Crosscheck, punch to the face, hipdrop, whatever.

Once the team is warned though, that's it... and FLA should be getting the same message. Go in there again, you're in the box...

I don't know why I have any expectations of the officials, but that is what I hope to see.

It just occurred to me that the Leafs are closer to the cup then they've been in decades. That says more about how bad we've been lately but still, last time we got our 5th playoff win we were still down 3-1 to Florida so ...

I've been pretty calm so far, even for game 1 but now, I'm getting seriously pumped up for the game tonight in a way that I haven't been for a very long time. Just when you think you're out, they pull you back in.

I think it will be a game where for stretches it looks like the leafs are hanging on for dear life, but no harm will come from it. A tight game that the leafs take in OT. More of the same in game 3.

meh I don't think there is anything wrong with the poster asking for specifically AM and MM to lead the charge offensively tonight

Now obviously it would be amazing if Mcmann, Domi, Jarnkrok, and Laughton could score a goal each and we win, but those aren't going to be the guys I hitch my hope wagon on to carry the team to the win.

MM and AM are two guys I, and many fans, can hitch that wagon to and expect a game winning performance.

If the depth shows up, thats awesome, but my hope is that MM and AM are the two guys who come out dominate, and win the game for us

I get where you're coming from. I mean strictly speaking, of course it doesn't matter who leads the way as long as we win but that said, it's hard to see us winning 11 more games without big contributions from M&M so those two showing up bigtime would be a good omen, and therefore would be my hope as well.
