The split at the time of this post is 56/44. That seems reasonable to me. For as good of a season as Boston had, Carolina had an even better one. 47 RWs is tied for the 5th most post lockout.
There is one factor everyone looking . The patrice factor. Stay calm and Bergeron we say us bruins fans. Another selke trophy in his pocket this year.

Cowards…..8 regulars sit out in meaningful game ..scared of Leafs ..it’s obvious

Super meaningful 🙄 Carolina is the tougher first round match up but get by them and I would say it's a more favorable second round matchup. To say any team is "scared" of another is ridiculous 😅 is there a fight after school?

Obvious Big Bad Bruins wanted no part of playing Leafs Round 1 ……they played for 4 th place by sitting 8 regulars …..if u can’t see that your Jack Edwards …a fool.

Unironically yes. Going through the Metro bracket is a preferable path to the Atlantic. Not that any opponent is going to be easy pickings. But we avoid Florida in he 2nd round and can let Tampa and Toronto go beat the crap out of each other in round 1.

Carolina is still a challenge, the key factor is the goalies and whether Bergeron's line matches Aho's.

I don't find Carolina's forwards all that impressive. Think Boston has the better top 6 with Hall, DeBrusk, and Haula playing some great hockey. Bluelines are comparable, slight edge to Carolina maybe but with Lindholm the Bruins' top 4 has been looking much stronger.

Think Boston pulls off a stunner here and wins in 5.
