I wonder what the scouting report will be. They don't have any weaknesses in their defense tbh, so best bet offensively would probably be to just get shots on net and grind it out in close. Devils were atrocious at this last time but are much better this year.

Defensively, just make sure to tie up sticks in the slot because they have negative danger of scoring otherwise (they have been pretty bad to inconsistent at this this season). Unless Markstrom becomes a pumpkin and gives up a slapper from Burns from the blueline (could happen).

Nope, it's impossible to do that since so many Rangers fans live in NJ anyway so that's the reason I'm sure they never even tried.

That's what I thought too but I distinctly remember that being a thing or the Devils doing something to limit NYR fans. In the end, it doesn't even matter. Most of us aren't going down there and the Devils fans in NC can still easily get those tickets if they decide to go down there.

PK just said on the 1st intermission of the Hurricanes/Capitals game that he think we have the advantage and is picking us in 6 or 7, because he think the Canes will have a hard time scoring and their power play is a weakness. And he likes Markstrom.

We didn’t really deserve to win the Bruins game, but Markstrom had as bad of a game as he’s had all year in that one.

And while Markstrom likely won’t be as bad as he was in that game because that game was a worst case scenario, I’m not completely convinced he won’t stink in that series. He’s been much more bad than good since returning, and seems to be good for 2-3 goals in the 3rd period alone.

The only game he’s not allowed a goal in the 3rd period since returning was the game where he didn’t allow a goal at all.

He’s shutout 1st and 2nd periods in his non-shutout games since returning, but not in the 3rd period he hasn’t.
