In a nutshell we are getting beat to the puck when it matters most.. Galants strategy is to let us skate right into their coverage and then just kill it dead.
The PP's early in this game absolutely messed up our mojo.
We clearly need to win this series 5v5. The special teams matchup is absolutely in their favor.

Vitek has been abysmal but what has really sunk us has been the power play. Just not acceptable. Could’ve easily made this a game with some execution on the last one. PP looking like Florida’s in the playoffs last season. Hmm

Cause you don’t get pretty chances in playoffs. You get pucks through and grind. These guys have to learn this. It’s one game. Hope they can rebound. Rangers 5 on 5 are a middle of road team. They have an elite pp and elite goalie.

We're skating right into them. Making Trouba look like Stevens out there. It's gross. They're playing attack for the hit and let the 2nd man get the puck. We go in with 2 D and both fish for the puck leaving the slot open.
Adjust and dump if you have to - use the speed to blow past them. Start posting up on the red line and pass to a stationary guy who chips into the zone and the other forwards attack with speed following the pass.
