Other teams have figured out that they can exploit Hamilton when he is on the PP to get a shorty.

looked very tentative and nervous the first 10 minutes, then played their game and controlled it the second 10 minutes. decent all things considered. it’s period 1 of game 1, they just gotta put one in.

besides being down 2-0 is good according to the season series

One thing that everyone knew coming into this series is that we need to keep special teams atleast even. Need to be better on both PP and PK as the series goes on.

I'm confident though that this was our worst period in this series and its uphill from here as the nerves go out.

If someone pulled the stats for this first period they wouldn’t look good so I have no idea what point you think you’re making. Maybe people should focus more on hoping the team can settle down and get going here instead of being seemingly eager to puff their chests that they’re not doing well.

We definitely came out tight - or rather too high.

It would also have helped if Vitek had made that first save.

Our power play? Really I don’t have an answer. It’s looked like that a lot this season.
