I didn't remember that he got pulled, but I remember game 5 and 6 being horrendous for him, especially game 5. He gave up one of the worst goals I've ever seen early in game 5.

Absolutely. But the issue is Mika, Panarin, and Shesty having big seasons is not translating to the playoffs. I’m a firm believer that sure you can win a cup with elite generational talent like a Crosby or Patrick Kane but it’s not necessary. Rangers have a few elite guys and it’s just not translating to playoff success.

Because none of them want to go to the dirty areas to score goals. They're much more content keeping everything outside the circles & trying hail mary cross ice passes.

IMO, he should scramble the top three lines right now. Put Chytil at 1C, Zib at 3C, put Laf or Kakko on the 2nd line. Give the Pens something different to look at.

Signing a 3rd line winger to play on your 1st line when your top prospect is a winger and you just drafted a winger 1st and 2nd overall in back to back years would be a terrible idea.

Laf and Kakko both had success with Zib and Kreider. Vatrano isn’t something special. He can’t be signed in a cap world.

I've always been a Chytil believer, but after this year I find it hard to gift wrap a 2C slot. I'd like him to get a chance, but the production just hasn't been there.

The hype train on Vatrano faded. He came in and gave that line a spark, but he was never going to be driving that line. He's not a 1RW and there's no room for him in a top 6 role. He probably priced himself out of being a 3rw for us and I'm not sure that even works for our lineup.

Bergeron's line has 39 shot attempts, 20 shots, and 2 goals in 30 minutes against Fast in the playoffs. How exactly is that shutting them down?
