I would argue they could only see the puck in after the whistle, there's no conclusive evidence to suggest it was in prior. It probably was in but you just can't see it.

This is where the rule about having to actually see the puck doesn’t make sense. You can clearly see the puck, which goes under pad and the pad goes a good 10 inches at least into the net. Wouldn’t some sort of microchip be able to clear up these issues?

They've spent the entire time talking about if the puck went in after the whistle/play dead, but the entire issue is if it was in under the pad right near the start.

No mention of when the whistle went or that Rielly pushed the pad not the puck. Just "it's in, yadda, yadda, yadda."
