I can't stand gushing bias for the home team. The color guy on TSN Jets (Kevin Sawyer) pumps the team so full of shit, you'd believe we're perennial cup winners. It's exhausting and - as the kids say - cringe. I prefer a broadcast that is realistic and has appropriate coverage.

I love listening to a broadcaster who is as big a fan as I am. That’s one of the reasons joe Bowen is so popular.

It’s part of the experience, you want that raw jubilation and excitement when it’s warranted, and you want that incredulous distain when it’s appropriate.

Neutral broadcasters are fine if you’re watching games of teams you’re not invested in, but for your team? Homer announcers all the way
