I almost hope for more Tampa pps so I don't have to hear anymore whining about the refs. Almost.
Yeah, the same stick work twice a row, they call the second.Lots of soft calls in these po

yeah but I keep see people saying these are the champs and expecting this current roster to be good. I am not seeing it. I think maybe the depth was more important than the top lines from the looks of it. Nice to have both though. It was pretty well known at the time, how elite their depth was. Guys like Johnson, Palat, Gourde, Coleman, Goodrow all made for a dominant bottom-six during their Cup years. At least that's how I remember it; I don't know which years each player came and went. But it seemed like every other GM wanted a piece of the pie and started poaching these guys in free agency, often overpaying or giving out significant term.
The calls were penalties.Oh we’re calling it REAL soft tonight
On the replay I thought they were calling Hagel for the soft stick hook right before that.Oh we’re calling it REAL soft tonight
It’s well known that before the NHL had its own ice department and series supervisors (Dan Craig etc), certain teams GMs would instruct their techs to heavy flood the opponents offensive end of the ice to make it like a slushy in Dallas.Tkachuck tips the ice crew.
That's pretty cool for late April.Well it was only 85 degrees out today in Tampa..
And McDonagh, who is especially effective in the playoffs as the refs never call his favorite brand of defense: interference. It was pretty well known at the time, how elite their depth was. What a call, refs making it clear they want a longer series
