Yes it was BS call but why the F#$& did Moore go behind the net during the PK??!!
The D was tired, they cleared it all the way down, saw Karlssen behind the net and went for a change. Instead of waiting in the slot Moore goes behind the net thinking he can pressure the best skater on the ice? Karlssen just traps Moore by going out the other side making it 5-3 and sends a good stretch pass up the ice catching the surprised D in their change. I like Moore and he is smart, but that was dumb. Moore doesn't make that mistake that goal doesn't happen.

That's the problem Bruins don't know how to defend against Karlssen,we can't put all the blame on the defence, the Bruin forwards are chasing him around and he is making them look like idiots. They better figure something out real soon or they will be golfing by the weekend.

I know I hated the call too, but face it guys the league does not like the Bruins. Think about it, every official was and most are still likely a fan as well and most of these guys the Canadian born anyway grew most likely Montreal or Toronto fans and hated Boston. No wonder we never get even up calls our way and our guys get so much crap go against them.

Chris Rooney grew up in Boston and people here still say he's overcompensating by being biased against us.

If we're going to get shafted and play the villains then let's be ****ing villains. Give people something to hate. Get your 2 minutes worth. The refs aren't going to do us any favors anyway

None of the walking wounded on D practicing today, not encouraging. Not winning the series with that 6 D we dressed last night.

Tom Peel has taken a beating (here included) for a call he didn't make. Just re-watched it, Eric Furlatt made the penalty call in OT.

Sorry If posted earlier, but Goucher tweeted this out a little while ago...

Surprising that Colin Miller isn't practicing, didn't he take the morning skate yesterday with the potential to dress?

Can't dress Cross again that's for sure. I'll give him credit for making a career for himself, but he's a 4A guy. I know they already re-assigned him back to Providence, but I'd rather see Grzelcyk in that spot, even if it's just to help push the pace.

Chara - McAvoy
K Miller - Grzelcyk
Liles - Morrow

He was trying to slow down the pass. If he doesn't chase him and force him to his backhand, Karlsson can fire the puck down the ice for a clear breakaway.

Ha ha ha....this old article is relevant.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/pu...M1BHZ0aWQDQjM4ODhfMQRzZWMDc3I-?urn=nhl,wp5679

Referee Eric Furlatt worked both of those games, as well as at least two more in the Stanley Cup Playoffs that featured the Lightning. Both of those games saw the Lightning, who had the 12th-most minor penalties in the NHL during the regular season (335), play short-handed more often than their opponents.

Furlatt and Kelly Sutherland are working Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday night, as the Lightning attempt to stave off elimination by the Boston Bruins.

You expect to hear coaches talk about having to game-plan for their team's opponents; rarely do you hear a coach candidly talk about game-planning for a certain official.

Yet there was Guy Boucher in his pregame press conference, either working the refs or laying his concerns out for public consumption about Furlatt's history with his team. So the question becomes: If this disparity is so evident, why is this official working Game 6?

From Wednesday's presser:

Q. Guy, do you get concerned at all sometimes when you see the officials who are on the sheet? You get one particular tonight who's been very lopsided the past few times.

COACH BOUCHER: 24-9 against, right? Yes, I'm aware of it. Very aware of it. Very, very aware of it. It has been a part of our discussions quite a few times in the last game, the last games we did have that particular ref. And it is lopsided.
But the only thing we can control is what we do on the ice and hope that things will be fair like it is with everybody else.

Q. Do you block that out of your mind, though? Do you have to ignore it, who it is, and just go about your business?

COACH BOUCHER: You want to ignore it, but you're right, after repetition, it is a concern. But we're planning on being strong mentally and forcing whoever is a ref to see that we're very disciplined.

I saw that, but it doesn't exonerate Tim Peel, who could have very easily held his hand up too, and skated over to Furlatt to confer with what they saw. Both idiots missed this call; it doesn't make the situation any better, it just makes it worse that two licensed officials missed an easy call after an earlier incident where they felt a gloved punch in a scrum was a matching penalty situation.

I just wanted to sign in one last time to thank everyone for their comments and being a part of the community over the last decade. At times I only viewed posts but I respect so many of you. There are some great hockey minds and just great people on here. I have made a personal decision that I can no longer be a part of something that I believe is wrong. I can't watch a league that can't admit it's wrong nor get it right even on video review. Extreme biasism, double standards and inconsisitencies are just too much anymore. Admitting a mistake and working to fix it is human and the NHL under the two referees system and leadership of Bettman is just too arrogant for me. I have ran up the stairs for standing room only in the Montreal forum, walked in the c of red, witness the Vancouver riots, screamed from the top row and the front row at the aud in buffalo. I've sat in suites in Ottawa, Minnesota, St Louis.Tampa. Ive cried, I've been angry. I watched every game from when satellite dishes that were 30' wide, before that on radio if I drove to the right just the right spot on 1030'AM. I've devoted so much time watching the league, reading articles, magazines etc. that I have literally missed special times that I should have spent with my family. Until the NHL admits it's wrong publicly and a bad call was made and Gary Bettman personally calls me to kiss my ass I will never watch a game or give another dollar to the league. Once again I thank everyone for their comments and opinions over the last decade. I'll always love the Bruins but I'm done with the NHL, and you know what it feels really good to accept it.. Good luck to everyone! And if anyone ever wants to talk about real life or real experiences that matter feel free to email me [email protected] I'll send you my cell. Thanks again! And best of luck!
John from Northwest Arkansas

Hi John, I truly feel your pain, I have also made this decision earlier in the year.
It was actually a few months in the beginning of this year that it ended for me.
I was on the edge last year but wanted to give this joke league another chance and finally it all terminated for me when the double standard is so blatant obvious in this league.
I totally agree that once that you make the decision to let go and not invest in the NHL your time as a fan it does actually feel really good.
I do lurk in here because there is a lot of great hockey minds here and a lot of great laughs too which I adore so much.

However, there is nothing that I see in the short future that will make me bend to follow this league but if that day ever comes because they have gotten their act together, I will return but I am not hopeful at the moment I am writing this.

As for you John, wishing you nothing but the best and may life surround you with great things.

Oh absolutely...agree 100%... the job last night by both of them was one of the worst I have seen

If one of Krug, Carlo, Miller or McQuaid don't return by next game, I think the series is done.

I understand there's been some underperforming forwards. But the team is literally scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as defense goes right now. Chara can't keep playing 29-30 minutes each night, but playing Morrow/Cross pairing is a wreck too. Tough spot to be in.

too easy to blame the defense

morrow was fine and cross looked shell shocked but wasnt bad either, our main issue is bergeron marchand pastrnak and krejci - if two of those guys have a great performance tomorrow we can take game 4, then get some guys back and hope the other two step it up and we can win this in 6 or 7

If Krejci pots that sweet feed in the third, it's game over man. Anderson made a great save, but if Krejci elevates the puck, it's a goal. Instead, it looked like Krejci was going for 5 hole and shot it into Anderson's pad.

I am disappointed with a few of the forwards but otherwise I am proud of how the team is doing with their injuries. I can't really get upset with what is going on in one end of our ice considering what they've had to deal with. The series has been very close.

Disappointing that after firing back 3 straight goals, that momentum didn't seem to keep them going. Almost as if they took their foot off the gas at the game and played down to the Sens level for a little bit.

I still find that call in OT absurd, but the refs didn't put the puck in the net. Iffy line change combined with Moore forcing Karlsson at a bad time was killer.

Maybe he was unaware that Bos was making a change, but you don't force the play forward when your own team isn't set.

It would make sense if the other 3 pkers were in the neutral zone waiting, because then forcing Karlsson at a time when maybe the flow of the Ottawa breakout wasn't ready could have forced a turnover or maybe force Karlsson to circle back to kill more time, but our pk unit just wasn't set yet.
