Of course it depends what you get in return. I liked the Thornton trade, he didn’t perform in the playoffs and with him here they probably couldn’t have afforded to sign Chara. Pasta is turning into Rick Nash, elite player who disappears in the playoffs.

Makes sense since we have a finesse defenseman making the moves in the front office. They need to go, Cassidy and Sweeney for sure and if Neely’s on board with what Sweeney’s been doing he needs to go too. This style of play might work in the regular season but not in the playoffs. I wouldn’t mind them shopping Pasta this off-season too, if they can get a lot for him it would be worth it.

You can’t score as it is and you want to get rid of a rocket Richard winner and 40 goal scorer. I would rather have Sweeney than youn making the decisions.
