Montreal has got some great pieces to work with but man oh man where to start. In this game at least their transition defense is incoherent, their in zone defense is a shit show, and they seem to have zero passion or sense of urgency to protect the high danger zone or net front? Thankfully for them their goalie is standing on his head. This reminds me of the vintage 80’s Oilers where Fuhr would give up 5 goals and still be the best player on the ice some nights. Maybe its just a really bad stretch or something??

They're built like a Cinderella team but the slipper doesn't fit.

Slafkovsky is such a floater out there - his failed clearing attempt led directly to the first Washington goal also

he's like a young Josh Anderson out there without the physical play......or scoring touch

This is like Rangers/Isles in 94 except Hextall isn’t in goal so it’s 2-1 and not 6-1
So it’s like the Isles vs Toronto series in 2002 when Steve Webb ran around just destroying the Leafs. Only thing we haven’t seen is someone trying to kick someone and a penalty shot.
