The way the other series started. Lots of bogus calls. It's definitely a factor. And I expect our series to be low scoring so a couple of bad calls can sway the series one way or the other. It's a realistic thing to watch out for, especially when we go to Pittsburgh for games 3 and 4.
You're making built in excuses for the Rangers. Have a little faith and if it happens let's cross that bridge when we get to it.
I mean, I mentioned it's an issue for all teams not just us. But it's still an issue. Crosby's dive and Jagr getting penalized. Lundqvist cursing out the refs on camera, King sitting on Lundqvist in the SCF... remember the Sharks a couple years back? Refs are always a factor. Just like Umps are a factor in MLB. There's always certain teams that get favorable calls. Just this season Crosby whined to refs during a TV timeout that mysteriously put the Penguins on a PP that had fans and other team livid and media scratching their heads.
I'll be bold and say Laf. He seems to have a clutch gene.
Fair enough. I just believe that unless there's something truly egregious the players and coaches decide the games.
Honestly, this is why I'm nervous. First time back in the playoffs in 5 years, inexperienced team and very experienced opponent, consensus in the media with us being picked to win.
