It produced one of my favorite HF arguments of all time:

He didn't throw it, he just released it with forward momentum. Sideways gravity took care of the rest.
It's genuinely depressing to realize rhe kind of stupid bullshit people will dig their heels in on

I also liked the thread when Jack Edwards said Svechnikov deserved to be injured by Chara because Jack confused Aho and Svech. The people suddenly pretending "play stupid games..." doesn't mean you think they got what they deserved.

There was another one like that in the first period, near the blue line. Whoever it was had the presence of mind to grab the puck with both hands above his head, then make a fluid motion to place the puck where he wanted it without technically holding or throwing it.

This brings to mind the batshit 20+ page thread from a few years ago where a few Bruins fans were insisting that Krejci didn’t throw the puck, but “dropped” it, past the defender from blue line to red line. And also that he didn’t close his hand on the puck while it was his glove with the palm facing down. That thread was ****ing nuts.

That thread was an absolute mess. Most Bruins fans were fine saying that they got away with one, but 3-4 guys just dug their heels in and would not admit that it should have been blown dead.

Andy Brickley said Boston got lucky the refs missed it. Andy Brickley.

Yeah, that thread kind of summed up the internet. 99% of the fans on both sides were like "lol thanks refs" and then we get 20 pages of increasingly personal arguments because a the other 1% are going pretzel-brained trying to find a way for it to be a good and correct call.

Yes, and it's annoying.

Also the feature is not working properly where you paint a part you want to quote from someone's post and then choose "Reply" from the small popup menu. The forum software quotes the whole post, also the unpainted portions.

The malfunction of both features seem somewhat similar, in that the forum software starts performing the wanted action but the rushes to do the other thing. Could be the same root cause.
These both things are fixed now. Thank you @Buffaloed
