Gryz was dealing with "soreness" on Saturday IIRC. there's also this flu bug going around. I think Forbort over Gryz is b/c Gryz isn't 100% for some reason, not because Monty wants size or whatever shit people want to make up. We already heard Monty say Forbort was rusty after 1 practice so it seems like he probably would have stuck with Gryz if he was 100%.

Forbort was out for 2 months and their PK improved. Even if they think he should be in for the PK they probably don't rush a guy back in game 1 unless the guy he's replacing isn't 100%.

Not making theoretical accusations, nor connecting conspiracy dots, but do remember this happening in the past, e.g. in 2014 when the Bs finished the regular season on a home and home with Mtl. Just a coincidence that this year Bs also finished the season in Mtl. Awful timing though.

Forbort was out for 2 months and their PK improved. Even if they think he should be in for the PK they probably don't rush a guy back in game 1 unless the guy he's replacing isn't 100%.

Florida has some serious threats at centre. Fairly deep.
Not pissing around with the puck in our own end and getting it out will be the key.
It'll be a physical series and in most cases in physical games the officiating goes from regular season horrible to absolutely playoff atrocious.

The only things that worry me a bit is both Hall (no points since returning) and Marchand (5pts in last 10 games) plus our PP.

Whatever we accomplished in the regular season, while so incredibly impressive...doesn't matter anymore. Its a new season. Teams are gunning for us. What we need to do is out gun them. Show them WHY we accomplished so much. The Bruins have shown who they are. They need to continue to do what they do best, but ratchet that up 100 times. This is where we find out who can handle this final quest. Who is tough enough. Who is going to sacrifice and dig deep, more than they ever have. THIS is who we are. If we play how we know how to play, and how we played in the regular season, we will be fine. But don't get complacent. Complacency breeds a loser mentality. No dipsy do skating. No half ass passing. Passes WITH a purpose. Shots to the net every damn time. Good things happen when you do that and go to the net. Battle on the boards. Be physical. Don't take any shit. But don't get goaded into anything. Be smart.


We do all of that? We're in good position. Don't take them lightly. They will be coming for us. I believe in this Bruins team because they haven't given me any reason not to. Protect your goalie. Protect our house. We got this.
