Cause it would mean Shaw on LW

Coach can't please everyone

As a lefty, galchenyuk will make a lot more passes to his right and lekhonen is mre skilled with the puck than shaw who excels on getting the puck when it is dumped or in front f the net.

Just win baby

Let's grab back home ice advantage tonight.

A win tonight would indeed be huge  We need Price to be Price and the leaders to step up. The old you're best players have to be your best players...

i have a feeling if we take this game, we can take both and come back home up 3-1. but knowing this team, literally anything can happen, good or bad.

I'm pleased with the lineup changes for tonight. Mitchell is a good player. Glad he's back in.

(Davidson IN?)...Nice! All the line-up changes that we asked for. Love all the lines. Hope Davidson keeps it simple defensively.

Is it official? Davidson IN...Nesterov OUT...?
(really hope so).

Petry and Davidson mesh better than Beaulieu and Davidson while Benn and Nathan seem to click pretty well. No brainer to me

Same here...no brainer for me, as well, but...Davidson has not played in 6-7 days (due to flu), so he may have to be eased in there (15min? no more than 16-18min?) for that third pairing. Benn/Petry are getting 21min+ (not sure Davidson should be getting 21min+ for his first game back...if he's officially coming back?). I also want Benn (right side) to be with Beaulieu, so Beau doesn't have anymore -3 nights. But, we'll have to wait and see...just happy IF Davidson really is IN, and Nesterov is OUT. Hoping this is official.

Davidson just has to keep it SUPER simple...has to be a VERY safe/smart stay-at-home defensive player...especially if paired with Beau.

Shaw is a righty though. Much easier for him to cycle from the right side and to get the puck free for the two leftie snipers who will drift towards the right.

No TVAS or Sportsnet where I am and CBC isn't showing the game... What do I do?

Huge disgusting shame on CBC for not showing it (for all the people out there without cable, etc). What's CBC's reason this time?

P.S.: try to find a friendly atmosphere pub/bar/restaurant-bar that is showing the game near you...good luck and go Habs go!!

Hopefully I/most of us get our wish...

Mitchell...IN (done).
Davidson...maybe IN (really hope he's ready).

Martinsen...OUT.
Nesterov...maybe OUT.

Mitchell should have been there for game 2...glad Julien re-inserted him for game 3 (about time) 'cause this native Montrealer is a playoff warrior for us and the captain of that 4th line (well...he can share the 4th line captaincy with the other veteran leaders of that line now...Ott and King ; lots of leadership/experience on that line:handclap:).

Go Habs Go!!
(Emelin...hope we win a lot to give Emelin his full, no rush rest/healing and to also give time for Davidson to get back into the ''groove'').

Puck drop at 7 or 7:30 pm?

Actual drop prolly around 7:15.

I don't think Lundqvist has been as dominant as everyone is saying. He's been average and he flops around so much just to make a routine save. Rangers are doing a good job of letting him see the shots/have the shots be fairly benign. I don't remember too many robs from "the king" - I think we still have his number so long as we're actually trying.

Shoot from the slot and go high. Just go high overall. He's good down low, but plays so deep. Nothing new that I'm adding here. As long as we change the angle often enough, we will score on him. I'm seeing plenty of cross seam passes in other series, but not so much in ours (by the Habs).

Pacioretty needs to get a little more to the inside, even though that means outplaying Mcdo and Girardi.

Radu and Chucky, and Leks ftm just need to shoot.

to be honest. Mitchell would be a lot more useful than martinsen. the last spot should be a fight between mccaron or mitcell. King's spot should be in danger to mccaron

Flynn...no thanks. I wanted us to get Hudon but he is in playoffs for icecaps. In a situation like this, you try to get your most skilled players on the farm no matter what.

Our goaltending has been very good. If we defend like we did in game 1 and take it to them like we did in game 2, we should be fine.

That's good.

I wonder if Lehkonen would consider changing his name to Wehkonen, so we could have the SWAG line

Even if just for tonight's game

If he changes his name it's for Lehkosex. AINEC.
Edit: And he scores 2 tonight. You heard it here first.

Really need to use Galchenyuk on the 1st powerplay unit
Our pp has been bad since we stopped using him with Radulov and Patch

I would go with that.

And I'd keep the 2nd wave as our 2nd line (Plakanec, Byron, Gallagher). And the first line I'd use after the PP would be Lehkonen-Danault-Shaw.

As predicted by most of us, mitchell now in for Martinsen, and i cant imagine it wont help us, so im really glad

i guess im ok with davidson in for nesterov but...as invisible as nesterov has been, he is still mobile and quick enough to at least keep up with the speedy ranger wingers, where as davidsons footspeed hasnt really impressed..

lets see what happens

Nesterov looks clueless on the ice so it's difficult to utilize any asset that he has. I don't see how Davidson could be worse. While he isn't as mobile, he plays a safe game. Hopefully, it translates to the playoffs.
