The officiating heavily favored Toronto tonight, so it’s not really a valid excuse as to why the team lost.
Anyone blaming the refs tonight is out to lunch. 5 powerplays and the first one in my honest opinion was extremely soft. It's on the special teams and the players, blaming the refs when you only score 2 goals and are under 10% on the pp and 50% on the pk is a joke

When you're like 1/12 on powerplays in a series you won't win

It's pathetic how ineffective it is every single playoffs

The refs are supposed to know it's not the Leafs night on special teams and not call penalties in their favor. It also uselessly ruins the narrative that the Leads are the most unfairly officiated team in the history of sports.

Much of the game was back and forth with hardly any offense generated. Toronto looked flashier due to a few physical shifts but neither team created all that many dangerous chances. When Toronto did, Swayman was there.
True. Toronto probably looked better because they had more power plays in the first part of the game. They may have had the puck longer but they didn't generate much.

just saw the tavares penalty at the end of the game and yes that is indeed a horrendous call, though from the ref's vantage in the boards, he's not exactly at an angle to see whoever that bruins player was holding onto tavares' stick by squeezing his legs
