The Core 4 haven't even played one full game together this series which is a big part of the reason Boston is up 3-1.

The Leafs are down 3-1 because they have a shit goalie, poor depth and have imploded to the point that Nylander has to tell Marner to stop crying. And this is after how many years of playoffs implosion?

I'm usually a proponent of 'always bet on talent' but this Leafs team is making a massive argument that they need a major shake-up.

Sure but is this series 3-1 if Nylander plays the first 3 games?

Blaming the core 4 for a series where they haven't played a full game together doesn't make any sense.

Pastrnak's been laying big hits all series, consistantly winning puck battles and has made elite plays..... sure let's only look at point totals... Pastrnak has been significantly outperforming the "core 4".

Playoff hockey is about winning the small battles consistantly, not the highlight reels. I understand this is a foreign concept to some Leaf fans, and likely the core 4 as well.

Hopefully this is finally enough to get Keefe fired. But who knows, since blowing a 3-1 lead in the playoffs to a team coached by Dominic Ducharme wasn't enough, and getting stomped 4-1 the following playoffs only earned him an extension.

Perhaps I'm harsh and a 5-13 home record in the playoffs is actually good.

No, I brought him up by saying Marner and Pastrnak have the same playoff stats so the video bashing both Marner and his dad was a ridiculous take.

Then people started bragging about Pastrnak's 2 empty net assists.

Ya you tried to say a guy with 2 points has the same stats as a guy with 4 points because you think it’s unfair that one of them is trusted by their coach to be able to defend a 6 on 5 and put the other team away.

The last 3 years proves my point.

Pastrnak is not some elite playoff stud if you're saying the Leafs core 3 doesn't show up in the playoffs while they both have identical stats in the last 3 years.
You realize your entire argument is 3 of your highest paid players barely out perform 1 player on the bruins? This is why the leafs won’t win anything until their entire mind set has been changed.

That the Leafs have never lost in less than 7 in the 1st round is a meaningless stat.

Especially when one of them was blowing a 3-1 lead where they were heavy favorites.

Ironically that series also had one of the core injured.

Pretty sure all of them played in game 4

Matthews was pulled from the game before the third. So they all played together for 2 periods in 4 games.

It answers your question as to whether Nylander made a difference.

The worst outing is the outing where a core player was missed.

No it doesn't, at all. What occurred in one playoff season doesn't automatically apply to another.

You don't understand how a statistic works. Kind of embarrassing.

Blaming the core 4 for a series where they haven't played a full game together is illogical.
Yes it is sooooo illogical to blame your 4 best players for your team's offensive woes...

So why ask the question if one playoff doesn't apply to another. You've contradicted the entire point of your argument.
