there's a Leafs' fans argument to be made that the Atlantic is so tough, it's a crapshoot to get out, especially with the likes of TB and Boston - and now Florida around.
And even though the leafs got past a tired TB last year, there's a lot of truth that perhaps the Habs broke the leafs during the covid cup run.
Anyone who followed that series knows the leafs had an epic choke job.
They were far and away the best team in that canada division. They had a legit chance to get to a cup.
Up 3-1, they came back at home in game 5 after habs squandered a 3rd period lead - only to lose to Mtl in OT.
Game 6, habs again choked away a 3rd period lead and , were completely dominated in OT, Price stood on his head and Kotkaniemi scored on a knuckleball.
The leafs didn't even bother to show up for game 7 at home. A mentally fragile team. No killer instinct.

Matthews is world class and I think it's good he plays between two psychos in Domi and Bertuzzi.
They need to move on from Keefe and Tavares(use his money on quality depth players) and trade Marner for a Dman - or some high picks to draft an nhl read stud Dman imo

Marner isn't being traded, they will re-sign him in the summer.

He has a NMC anyways so even if we wanted to, we couldn't do it. The depressing reality is they will wait out the Tavares contract and start phase 2 of the Matthews era led by Matthews/Marner/Nylander

It's a fact. Shitting your pants and having immense stomach pains is not easy to play through. Sounds like you've never played sports or had food poisoning.
