Do we know for sure that’s when the stick touched the puck because lol you can’t see shit

And again refs aren’t gonna make that call at game speed. It’s not blatant enough to matter and if goodrow is standing a tiny bit more upright then it’s not a “high stick” even if that pic is correct
We know for a fact it didn’t because there are multiple angles that show the puck not being contacted and being below Goodrow’s shoulders.

LOL. Nice angle. Now heres the truth, he makes contact with the puck at his belly button. In this pick his stick hasnt even made contact yet and its at his nipples. This one wasnt remotely close to being a high stick

You realize how deceiving an overhead view is right? Come on.

That’s the only definitive angle. Every other angle is from higher up which distorts the view.

It’s still better than the side view rangers fans are using that doesn’t show anything because the camera is much higher than the play. You are right though. It was too close to see in real time and it isn’t reviewable.

The picture you posted clearly shows the puck not being contacted. In the overhead posted is still frames before the puck is contacted and it is moving down along with Goodrow’s stick.

This is the frame contact is made. You cannot tell from the ice level view. Tell me how at that hand position you high stick a puck. Notice how it is a wildly different hand position than your photo.

The ice view is the only view with merit on any high stick review. Anything from higher makes the puck look lower. Just like a view from the ground would make the puck look higher.

Just because it is a "better" view it doesn't make it anywhere near conclusive.

Not a fan of either team.
It's puzzling to me that fox name is mentioned in the norris debate every year.
I mean If your take is from watching him in the playoffs, sure. We know he's injured. He's walking about in a brace. If you watch the season, you'll see a much different Fox. The conversation is never about playoffs. He's not typically some player who can't defend in his own zone or make a play.

You have still yet to provide any evidence that he made contact with the puck above his shoulders.

I think my favorite part of last game was when Rumpy got absolutely rocked behind Florida's net by Kuli.
Rempe has bad balance and edge work. He's all straight line. It was more like he got hit and then fell off balance than getting rocked. But either way, why do people act like he's tough to knock over and call it a victory? Hes out there expected to get hit. No NYR is pumping their chest like Rempe can't be knocked down.

It’s time to log off the internet for the day and enjoy some sun if you believe that was a high stick. I’d take the L on your position and keep it moving

Rempe did his job... And that was to have Florida defensemen looking over their shoulders before playing the puck and slowing down their transition... Mission accomplished.

Yes but the ice view doesn’t show when contact was made so it is irrelevant too. You can piece the two together and realize what you posted is not where his hands were when contact was made. It is at least a quarter second before contact is made.

The stick and the puck were both moving down.

For all the Rempe talk, I think what a lot miss is that Rempe is an intangibles player. He’s not there to directly make a lot of plays that lead to goals or lead to preventing goals.

But the team’s record with him in there is amazing, and a large part of that is because he brings an energy and mindset that his teammates follow in the games he plays. Hockey isn’t all pretty plays with the puck. There’s a gritty and grinding element to the game also, and the team buys in more and is sharper at playing that type of style when Rempe is in there.
Rempe faces every physical altercation and challenge with the smile of a borderline psychopath. Hes exactly the type of guy you want to add energy from the crowd and get teammates to play big.

The rest of his game needs work though. He’s both a benefit and liability on the ice. But he definitely prevents the Rangers from being lulled to sleep like they were in game 1.

He can be functional but equally a liability. With his size, he can and should be a major force in the corners and a huge disruption around the net
He needs to continue to learn to play inside his limitations and not make the bonehead play and take the stupid penalty

I like his enthusiasm and respect for the game. He has potential
He's 21 and had no business making the team, but our 4th line was terrible. Had we had a Bennet or Lomberg, or any real grit to give us a spark, he wouldn't be on the roster. But Jonny on the spot provides nothing but some speed and an AHL shot so there's no point playing him over Rempe. Some 1st round picks who make the NHL early still struggle at 21, and here you have a kid not expected to make the NHL, playing at 21. There's no doubt he needs a lot of work to be more of a playing force. Offseasons focus should be lower body strength, balance and agility.

Astrek victories on the other hand. They're the worst.
Every Rangers victory is an asterisk victory. We're such pretenders.

Every Panthers victory in this series will be legit
Every Rangers victory in this series will be bullshit

We can only hope to keep riding our luck and get 4 bullshit victories first!

Mine was when Goodrow scored the winning goal.
What's funny is that it was a rather average hit. Rempe fell, but rempe falls when he's the one hitting guys. But he didn't get plastered, he's too big for that. Yet the gdt was alive with posts about Rempe getting destroyed.

It's actually quite crazy how much interest other team's fans have in our 5min 4th liner. The guy you responded to is a perfect example. If your favourite part of the game last night was an irrelevant hit on an irrelevant player, well that player is obviously taking up way too much space inside your head.
