I would be very, very surprised to not have three games in Florida.

tbf boston swept us in the reg season then beat us down 5-1 in game 1, sure looked like they had our #.

But yeah hockey is funny how quickly things change.

nhl.com 's gamepage lists the second goal with an "own" icon. How long have they been doing this? Looking at espn, yahoo and sportsnet they don't give it that designation like they would do for an empty Net

I started noticing that in the last few months. The NHL app got a lot better with designations like that.

There was basically one real goal scored in this game and it was a soft floater.

Neither team was good but Florida played a better "bad ice" playoff style game.

Series is far from over. Rangers will respond tomorrow.

They need to put Adam Fox in a cryo tub or whatever they currently have Walt Disney in. Dude is obviously laboring

This is such an absurd post, I don't get it. There were huge hits, back and forth play, big saves, players attacking the puck...wtf do you want? A 9-7 game?

The Panthers and Rangers play exciting hockey in general but Game 1 was a snoozefest for the most part. I don't think it's absurd at all to point that out.

Game 1's of series tend to be like that though. Usually there's a break in between and the teams go through a feeling out process before they really get into the series.

Not sure what that has to do with anything I said? Some teams benefit from it. Some teams don't. Some teams come out flat. I'm not placing the blame there. I'm simply saying maybe it didn't help.

Florida fan saying the game wasn't particularly exciting. Although I am of course very happy with the win.

Completely understand why a neutral would say it was a boring game.

Their previous series ended one night before FL’s did. Not a big difference in any “rust factor”.

All teams come out different after a break. This wasn't a comparison to how much time each one had off.

From the Panthers pov... why try harder? If the Rags want to have a snoozefest in their own barn then so be it. I'll gladly accept the win and move on to game2.
