This is what I don't understand. The NYR are far younger and the TBL have played WAY more games the past 3 years than the Rangers, so it should be the Rangers with far more juice, yet they are the ones who look like they are skating in mud or not moving their feet.

The energy on the bench and in the room has to be that they all feel they can't win. I am just a goon on my couch, but I can't see any other reason why.

Rangers have played a game every other day for almost a month and a half. No matter how young they are, that's a lot of hockey for any team.

The highest scoring team in the playoffs were suffocated by this Tampa team. And they didn’t play back to back game 7’s and have the amount of injuries we gave.

Honestly, going up 2-0 in the series may have been the worst thing for us. They have sat back since.

How talented was TB in the first two games?

The only time we can cleanly complete a pass is if we're skating full speed back into our own zone toward Igor.

And it seems we've replaced taking the body since the 3rd period of Game 3 with waving your stick at the guy & hope he's distracted. Which is exactly how Panarin took that lazy penalty.

and also another symptom of the Henrik rangers. Can’t remember how many times I asked when we would finish a check and stop doing fly-bys with the stick.

It’s something in the DNA of this team. Even in years we are “physical” we are not punishing. We aren’t imposing. We don’t finish checks. There’s a difference between simply racking up hits and making sure you finish every check and don’t do the fly by. We always revert to the fly by.

We are never smothering. No matter the skaters, we never look faster or like we’re everywhere, overwhelming, closing things off, finishing every hit. Those are almost always traits of the team that wins it all.

Don't understand this "very tired" meme, the Rangers are one of the youngest teams in the league and they're professional athletes. This isn't peewee anymore. They're not "tired".

Yes they are. 20 games in 40 days and the fatigue is absolutely showing. Many of the young kids have played way more hockey than they have every played. The whole team is gassed.
