Favorite random ECF game 5 goal. NYR 0-4 in ECF game 5s in my lifetime

That was a patented Hank no show game that he had at least once in almost every series. I get on Igor for never shutting the door but I can only say that of one maybe two playoff games he's played so far in his career. Great goal but wanted to give Igor props on that.

Many stats everywhere, but how about this.......

NY RANGERS 35-13-0 @ MSG
30-11-0 Reg Season
5-2-0 Playoffs

That's pretty good, right?
How about getting loud from jump street.
How about "Taking it to them right away"
How about not only getting the 1st goal, but the 2nd as well?

I believe had we gotten that 2nd goal last game (Mika?) We might have had a different result. IDK.

HOME COOKING BABY!

Patented Hank no show? Jeez.

Yeah Hank was great in the playoffs overall but he would have games where he (and the Rangers) would be run out of the building and that was one such game. Thankfully you can't say that about Shesterkin so far in his career other than game 3 and maybe game 4 against the Penguins. Which is a huge asset when you have a pretty good offense. Always gives us a chance to win.

In his career in the playoffs he had a 2.3 with a .921 save percenage. But yeah. In 130 games he had some bad ones. Almost like you can say that about every goalie ever.

It’s been a minute since kreider did one of those spinning blind back hands to Zibs for an open net
Forget that, how about being able to get it down low, so he can do what he does? Panarin is great with that, Fox as well. Mika? IDK what he's capable of doing lately. Love Mika, but come on baby, WE NEED YOU. And I have a blind faith he will come up big.
Speaking of BIG, Laffy will officially become a star. The lights are NOT too bright for him any longer.

NYR would have had plenty of games the last few years where they get run out of the building if Igor was anything short of the best playoff goalie ever through however many games he’s played. It’s insane how outmatched they usually are in the late games of the series

Well Igor has played 42 games and hasn't had more than only a couple horrendous games which means that we always a chance to win as long as we produce reasonably well. I will say that maybe Hank gives up 4 to Florida in game 3 and the 2014 Rangers score 1 and we treat as a no show. The Rangers being more offensively potent does distort the perception a little bit.
