We lost the league too much money in round 1, so they put an end to the 7-0 run with tons of calls. Now they want both ECF and WCF to go to 6-7 because R1/R2 had so few G7s. Might as well knock a panther unconscious in the opening faceoff if the league just wants money and views. It'll make for exciting hockey.

Like the walls of Rome, a goaltender under relentless siege eventually caves. This one could be really ugly if we don’t get out of our heads.

Either a 5-1 loss (with Florida clinching in six) or a 3-2 win (with us clinching in seven).

Would be amazing if they just came out and stomped them.

Florida's due for an ass whooping.

But if they're going to lose, at least take out Bennett.

Just because you added “take out Bennett”, I suggest you edit that to LFGR!!!

this is playoff hockey to me. high stakes, adversity, frustration and the opportunity for a few players to rise.

it seems like the trio of Rempe, Wheeler and Chytil will be a case where 2 of the 3 will play, while the other will be the odd man out. I'd suspect Rempe will dress, leaving the last spot between either Wheeler or Chytil.

there were a lot of moments in the past couple of games that reminded me of the series with the Lightning a couple of years ago, where the Rangers in game 3 and onward just look gassed. they had that classic look of exhausted players "skating through mud". playoff fatigue is a different breed of fatigue. when the Rangers spend so much time defending like they have, they're too worn out to skate the puck up and make plays. decision making suffers and more cheating occurs with making plays as well. it's disastrous on all fronts really. if you can get a team to fatigue like that, they systemically fall apart in all aspects of the game.

it's baffling when you watch the first period of game 4 because clearly the design is there for the Rangers to sustain pressure.

lack of certain leadership maybe. or again, the bystander effect where most of the players start feeling like everything is in good order and they can get a bit more lax because they assume that someone else will step up for them and finish strong.

Zib is the guy that i'm going to focus on the most. he's so unsuspecting right now, that if he had a big game, i think it'd actually send shockwaves throughout the locker room. a part of leadership does involve talking and acting in certain ways, but there's also the other part of leadership that regards performance and leading by example through your actual performance. Zib needs to perform big in this game. if he does i think it wins the series. the winner of this game i think takes the series.

Alright, the time for bitching and moaning has come and gone. It’s game day, no more feeling sorry, time to find another level out there. I believe in this team still, even with all their warts. It’s a best of three series now and we basically knew this would be a 7 game series. We have home ice, time to do some things and feed off of it. Let’s go out there and play as a team. Just win baby!

Let’s go Rangers!

I am hoping Mika's gaff awakens Beast mode Mika "Fury of Samson's Hair Powers" Zibanejad.
If he doesn't show up for these playoffs, I'm not sure how we even have a chance. Unless the Panarin-Tro-Laf puts up 10 points every game out from here.

Still think hockey is not the #1 priority in Mika's life. I don't think anything wakes him up because he barely has a pulse.
