I don't get it either. His philosophy with passes would made so much sense with shots. It's like when he has not options he just tosses up a hail mary pass backwards. Why not just rip it on net and say a prayer?
The whole kids line thing is frustrating as f***. There's no defending GG. One of the best lines in the league in the whole playoffs and this sick f*** still prefers Reaves.

I think they need to move Chytil up with Panarin and Copp. And move Goody down with Laffy and Kakko. Just need to get a bit more speed on that 2nd line.

It’s just inexcusable with Panarin. Because it’s not a symptom of an injury. It’s 3 straight series of calling out his decision making and unwillingness to simplify or just try something different.

Yep, and he just stays wide AND drives all the way down to the corner so he doesn’t even have an angle TO shoot from. He’s basically telling them where he’s going to pass it and then trying to thread the needle against NHL defenders who know exactly what he’s going to do. It’s infuriating.
