Disco still throwing the same dysfunctional PP out there. Iginla needs to be on the left circle, Martin needs to be at the point.

Ain't looking too good so far.

Have the Pens had a 2 on 1 or even a good odd-man-rush in this series? Just incredible.

Seriously, this is the only explanation I can think of. Either that of he's hurt.

Hurt doesn't excuse trying to set up a PP and sending a cross ice pass through 2 bruins to start a PP. He is giving a pisspoor example of how to be a leader by his choices in this series. It started at the end of Period 2 in game 1 and has snowballed.

not a bad period IMO.

Bruins are exiting their zone, and gaining out zone, way too easily. I doubt they make any adjustments to correct that, though.

I still don't understand why the PP was changed after dominating through 1.5 series. Where was the need?

On the good side, we finally generated some good scoring chances. On the down side we cannot generate more than one chance in a row without giving up the puck. And our PP still blows. Or more accurately Boston's defense and goaltending is excellent.

Martin should be playing 35+ minutes a game. He's the only defensemen out there that can play defense.
I'd like to know what happened to Niskanen this year. First few weeks of the season, he was awesome, then got injured. When he returned he was a different player and has yet to come back to that early season form.

Just interfere. They'll only call it once in a while, and they'll make sure the calls are even by the end of the game anyway.

I don't know how on this experienced team we don't know this. It's not a new concept. Detroit does it to a T. It's standard procedure. Shame on us for not adapting.

Malkin plays no defense whatsoever. It is simply amazing to watch and how anyone can suggest he should be wearing the C is so wrong. The Pens are the San Jose Sharks and have to many players who are Ok with close enough but no cigar.

Sid got overrated guys, face it.

He never brought it when it counted against teams with a decent gameplan or roster.

He didn't in the 08 finals. He didn't in the 09 finals. He isn't now. He doesn't have an extra gear. Sucks but it's the truth. Even in the Olympics he was meh, got a lucky goal.

If I were Malkin I'd want out

Do you think Pittsburgh will have a sigh of relief when they find Sidney Crosby in a storage unit somewhere and figure out this is just an impersonator?

It would be nice if Bylsma stopped handcuffing him with Kunitz and Dupuis. Dupuis tries hard but is back to his flubbing the puck play, and Kunitz has just been utterly useless.

Seriously, would it kill Bylsma to at least try Iggy with Sid? Did Sid sleep with Iggy's wife or something, and now Bylsma keeps them apart to avoid a brawl?

Sid needs offensive help. Right now he's got the hands of stone version of Dupuis and the invisible version of Kunitz on his wings.

I'm not asking what he deserves. I'm saying you're embarrassing yourself by making the statement. If you're okay making yourself look worse than the Penguins have looked, by lowing yourself that far on the evolutionary and intellectual scale, please, feel free to continue. It makes the rest of us feel better about ourselves, if nothing else.

if that's what sets you off, a little nothing comment composed mostly of exaggerated hyperbole, then maybe you need a thicker skin.

you know nothing about me, so save your little lecture on what type of person i am for making a vent post on a ****ing hockey message board.
