And yet...not a peep when bad calls benefit the Habs.
Sure they do... Do you actually read the posts here?
Point is...bad calls go for and against teams all the time. How about we actually try to score instead of blaming the refs all the time? And then the same people were complaining about the Bruins blaming refs. LOL
No kidding? Really? Wow nobody here knew that...

Hey, when they happen are you allowed to call the refs out on it? Or do we sit here like Monks and say it happens both ways?

This is a gamethread dude. People comment on plays as they happen. So yeah, if something stupid comes from the refs, people are going to complain.
Aside from the first 15 mins...the team hasn't been playing well but hey...lets blame the refs!!! There's a diff between being pissed off at a bad call and blaming the refs for the team playing like ****.
Sure there is. But again... you have selective reading skills. 'Cause most people here are talking about how bad we've been so why do you continue with this crap? It was a bad call. Folks are pissed and they have a right to be.

And btw, we really haven't played all that bad a game regardless of this game thread. We've actually been the better team apart from goaltending.
I don't know what to do with Vanek. He produces something out of nothing, but man is that guy an enigma. We really needed him to get this far, but I'm terrified about paying him...
I'm terrified of the term. The 7 mil? Sure. But for four years. For seven or eight? That's scary.
Like I said, I'm not against the idea of bringing Vanek himself back. It's what comes with Vanek, the 7.5+M/7-8 years contract that scares me.
Well, see my comments above.

The sad thing is we are of no threat of a comeback. How did this team make it to round 3?

Well it's been a nice run, folks.

This is how it ends I guess. It's a shame, it felt like Price was carrying us straight to the cup.

the way the rangers are playing is fantastic, they're the JM system, at full force.

it's a thing of beauty.

Ranger fan here.

You point is well taken.

There are truly only about 20,000 dedicated hockey fans in NY. Many more attend the games (at inflated prices) to say they saw a winner. How many really care how the team does?

Montreal has a history and a fan base that is truly unmatched. Most seem to follow the team intently and are true fans. In NYC hockey is still the step child, perhaps a notch above soccer? Maybe a notch below?

Best wishes for the rest of the series. I truly wish Price was in goal.

Thanks. You're the well-adjusted flip-side of the other Ranger fan I commented on. You took the time to send some good vibes, which this board could use more of. Appreciated. Yeah, as you can see, one blown knee is hurting many more people than Price.

It's pretty obvious the guys realize that the series is already over. Hard to win in the playoffs without an above average goalie, let alone a back up or an AHL starter.

That's bogus to me. Canes lost their starter and won a Cup. Oilers lost their goalie and still competed hard and almost won a Cup. Flyers went to the Finals with Michael Leighton. Was the loss of Price bigger? Yes. But those teams still played hard and well despite having an unproven goalie in the net.

It's the bloody Rangers. They're a solid team but c'mon.

Lack of compete level is what is frustrating. Veterans aren't finishing checks or fighting to the net.

Prust, Gionta, Vanek, Pleks, Bourque? Completely MIA
