Don't know why people keep trying to be witty by stating that.

The fact that nobody is paid in the playoffs doesn't change anyones expectations of him.

That said, Rick has been fine. Can't fault his effort and his total game, would like some more goals but it is what it is. Maybe he gets the winner tonight.

It's a light hearted poke at people who can't manage to talk about a player without talking about his cap hit which, in many ways, only really matters in the offseason.

To be fair, this is the case everywhere outside of the North East, basically.

The minute you get south of Baltimore, I feel like everywhere is filled with nice people (sans DC -- but even DC is pleasant compared to NYC and the rest of the NE). The weird thing about the entire DC area (including Alexandria and Arlington in this) is that there are very few non-chain restaurants.

I mean, out here in the country, it's hard to go anywhere without someone being nice and talking to you. Admittedly, it gets old after a while.

Southerners aren't nice. They're just nice to your face. At least Northerners don't try to fake it. And "bless your heart" is code for condescension and judgment.

Midwesterners, though. They're nice all around.

Regional stereotypes FTW!

Well it only took you 4 years for the cup "that would last a lifetime." What more do you want?

-Turd Ferguson (paid MSG lobbyist)

Took me only 22 years for the cup that would "last a lifetime", what's another 20 more? 1 cup in 42 years of fandom.

God, I'm so nervous for tonight. Ad a Rangers fan I'm totally expecting a break down and a loss in game 7. I want this more than anything though. 8pm needs to hurry up.

Look on the bright side, 42 years is far from a lifetime for most of us :p:

Thank you for the support commoner. It humbles me to know that average mammals devote their lives to my marketing company.

Seriously: Let's boot Montreal out of the garden!

Stepan sure looked like he was trying to "take" a win last night. And I thought Kreider was a beast. The Nash goal was fluky, but its a big goal in a big game.

The team has "taken" a lot of wins this post season. They lost in a big game last time. It sucks, but it doesn't change everything.

Step's 1st was a complete fluke as well.

Kreider's goal was nice. Otherwise it was a team "keeping it close", if u wanna call a 4-1 defeceit close, while relying on pure chance to make plays.

How many "I hope someone is there" passes did they make?

Top to bottom a crap game. And as for other series wins they looked equally as horrific in multiple games in those as well. I guess they just want to play game 7s huh?

They better show up to play tonight.

Yeah kind of funny aint it? The old adage "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is clearly in play here. But think about it, Montreal is Boston's chief rival always has been always will be. And for Sens fans, cities are only 80 miles apart and if what my brother in law who is an Ottawa native says is true, there is no team or fan base that Ottawa hates more than the Habs or their fans. So yeah, nice to see other teams rooting for us.

Actually from reading other teams message boards, looks to me like Penguins and even Flyer fans are siding with us for most part. Only fan bases I've seen that it's absolutaly killing them that we are where we are at and are clearly on the Montreal choo choo train are the Debbies and the Islander fan bases which is obvious as most of them are and have been jealous of us for years for all the attention we get. So you just know this is killing them that we are actually good now to boot!...heh

I will say this though as I have to throw a bone to some posters in the Debs and Isles boards, more than ever, I've actually read some positive feedback about our team. Almost begrudging respect has creeped up and alot of them say our team is not very hateable as there are no Avery types anymore. I mean it don't really matter in scheme of things what others think but I admit that it's kind of neat to read other fanbases even hated ones saying nice things about our team.

I feel like breaking into the place we lived when I was a kid so I can sit on the rug in front of the TV in the same spot with my hands folded the same way like I did 20 years ago during the elimination games...:loony:  :yo:

Lets go boys! Win it!

Please!

I tell ya this is how I know this particular Ranger team is different than any other Ranger team since the Cup winning '94 one: As I told my buddy on the phone this morning, here it is we are about to play THE most important game since Game 7 vs Vancouver back in '94 and yet I am supremely confident this team is going to figure out a way to win. Now admittedly I might be the most optimistic Ranger fan that I know but I have reason to be as this team is resilient and has showed so much character and heart thru this glorious playoff run that it's actually dumb and stupid to doubt them at this point. I know in the past with other Ranger playoff teams even the 2011 one that lost in the ECF to the Debbies, I never once felt as confident about that team as I do about this team.

Amazing never thought it would take 20 friggen years for a Ranger game to mean as much as this one does tonight. But here we are just one win away from the Cup finals. What an amazing unexpected ride this has been and what's really sweet is it aint ending anytime soon. As that famous intellect Larry The Cable Guy says all the time...."get er doooooonneee". No question in my mind we will as I fully expect Hank to be in god mode and the team to come out fired up and resemble nothing like the team we saw this past Tuesday. Let's do it boys!!!

Raphael Diaz will score the GWG tonight. Montreal trades Diaz to Vancouver for Dale Weise. Vancouver trades Diaz to the Rangers for a 5th round pick in 2015. John Moore gets suspended for hitting Weise. Diaz replaces Moore in the line-up.

I love quantum mathematical theory.....oh yeah:yo:

Oh god im so scared. I dont think we could beat Chicago or LA in the finals but dear christ I want this win I dont want Montreal in the final I want to end them PLEASE RONGOS DON'T LET ME DOWN!!

I really hope the Devils don't miss the playoffs ever again...It's been so painful in NJ trying to watch games with their fans screaming for Montreal...I mean come on, give it a break...do you really want these diving foreigners to win or are you just that blinded by hate. I may never root for the devils...but I aint going out to a bar with the rangers out of the playoffs just to root as loud as I can for some other team just cause I want to be a jerk.

Statistics and theories have been thoroughly analyzed and digested.
Cliches have been spoken.
Hopes, wishes, dreams, desires, expectations have been expressed.

All that is left for me is to cheer like mad crazy lunatic for our New York Rangers!!!:yo:

Have fun everyone...it's gonna be one hell of an awesome night :handclap:
