BTW, this game isn't over guys.

No it's not. I expect Montreal to come out of their locker room swinging.

The series isn't over by a long shot either. This is just the first game. We blitzed them early and that's one reason we've been able to keep them on their heels a bit in this one. Even if Montreal can't come back I expect they'll be better prepared for the next one.

“@AGrossRecord: Budaj comes out for Price in net to start the third period.â€

Wow.

A couple of seasons ago I was just full of anticipation waiting for Kreider to appear. He did, and he adds that ingredient the Rangers were missing. On top of that, we see the other ingredients like Zuccarello, Hagelin, Pouliot, Brassard that also stress a defensive corps like the Canadiens have.

I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch, but the speed factor against the Habs defence is very real.

Well, he might put up points in the regular season, but it'll never translate to post season success, he's just not built for that game.

Built for playoffs are such a cliche and quite pointless expression.

Great that we've got the lead. That cushion helps us spread out the ice time evenly among our 11 forwards.

There's something hilariously ironic about the Belle Centre playing "All the Small Things".

Kreider is gonna have a field day this series. There is no reason Nash cant score with them payign attention to CK's speed

Playing rope-a-dope works if you have a great goalie and speed.

Montreal took chances with their D pinching all period and got away with it because Richards missed the net on a 2-on-1 and Zucc hit the crossbar.

But in the end, it cost them dearly. Philly, Pitt and now Montreal are learning that pinching D aggressively with Lundqvist on top of his game is like playing Russian Roulette.

You see. Just like that. Odd man rush off an over aggressive pinch and a subsequent scoring chance and PP.
