Kind of a “missed connections” post. Someone reached out to me a little while ago about wanting to help give feedback for the St. Louis Blues when re-rated. I can’t find our DM and didn’t note the name!

So far we've had a great response to the poll - thank you to all who have filled it in! There's about 36 hours until the poll closes (closes on Friday morning). I'm planning to take the weekend to mull it over and start posting results on Monday next week. I will publish in a few short things like this:

Day 2 - The various Offline / Online things

Day 3 - Drafting

Day 4 - Goalies and Defencemen

Pivot 9.4 - January update posted!

Some pretty substantial changes here, please give feedback on them!

General Updates:
- Latest notable transactions and contract extensions for playable leagues
- Implemented new attribute standards based on researcher consensus and applied them database wide except for players over 100 CA and NHL floor PA players. I removed a majority of pre-set attributes, allowing the game to randomize them on start to allow more variation to players based on role. Expect a lot more randomness new game to new game.
-- I am looking for feedback here, good or bad, especially for lower-level league or European focused players!
- Any players with no player-type set have had all attributes set to 0.
- Cleaned up free agent players

Prospect Generator Updates -- thanks ImActuallyAnOtter!!
- In the last release, about 30% players had no physical attributes set. Physical attributes have now been set for all players
- Updated model for anticipation, creativity and decisions implemented as a beta for this issue
- Expect significant changes to be coming to the PG based on Community Poll feedback, these will be included in the next issue

International Updates:
- Updated World Championship top level team count to 16 and Divsion 3 team count to 6 -- thanks filip85!!
- Updated game counts for all stages of WC

Canadian Updates:
- Updated CHL league captains and attendance and processed all trade deadline moves for all three leagues.

Finnish Updates:
- Tightened up Liiga and Mestis schedules in February/March to move playoffs forward three days to prevent Relegation Playoffs from rolling over past the May 1st cutoff date. This may need further adjusting after more testing. -- Thanks Thomaxius for the report!!

NHL Updates:
- Updated the entire 2025 draft class (396+ players) based on CSS mid-term rankings and World Junior performances
- Updated notable players for 2026 and 2027 draft classes
- Updated starting injuries and future retirements
- Updated attendance averages
- Will be reducing/re-tiering NHL level staff, feels like rep/CA are too high end for positions like scouts. Will be adjusted as I update organizations during re-rates.
- Re-rated starting goalies based slightly on The Athletic's Tier List
- Started NHL re-rates which cover staff, players and prospects/RFAs. Teams completed in this update:

-- DAL
-- FLA
-- NAS
-- NYI
-- NYR
-- STL

Nice. Just finished a Chicago franchise last night.

Now I can dive head first into a Penguins rebuild. Sucks that my boys are heading that way IRL, but love that I have two first rounders to work with. Usually we have zero. Hell yeah. The benefit to my favorite team sucking.

Apparently, if Montreal kept Roy, Damphousse and Leclair, they win 5 straight cups from 1995 to 1999.

Without all the injuries, Gretzky passed the 1000 goals cap and is closing in on 3000 points. Might even catch Howe's games played, 239 games to go at 38.

Same with Lemieux who is going to crush Howe's 2nd place in points (22 points away at 33).

Gino Odjick pierced the top10 in PIM at 28.
