I just sent it over. That AlpsHL error crashes the game the next time it comes up a few days later

Thanks I think I see the issue (year offsets are incorrect) and some of the pick rules weren't right for that stage. Will push an update when I have it sorted out.

- Massive updates to club, competition and player career histories globally, really busted my ass adding and overhauling this so I hope it is noticed and appreciated - this is by far the most detailed DB we have ever produced!

Yes, I agree, this is the most detailed DB regarding this topic. Good work ! :)

A couple things I'm wondering here looking around internationally:
-Is it possible to have a Latvian or BeNe league team in the Champions league?

Win Continental Cup with their clubs :)

I’ve been planning to put a Latvian team in one of those leagues anyways. I tried merging the Latvia, Estonia, Belarus A, and Lithuania leagues but that didn’t go over so well.

@xECK29x I ran another sim without the Alps league through the trade deadline, and it looks like the Olympics schedule is off-set from the NHL schedule. Starts February 10 and ends February 20 (which seems short), but the NHL is off starting February 13 to February 26.

Toronto wins the Cup by the way. They went 16-0-1 in the playoffs

Love the new DB. Thanks a lot. Only issue so far is that a lot of the initial free agents signed in the AHL or overseas.

Not a big as such, but is it possible for someone who is in contact with Riz to request North to South team sorting be added as a comp option, if it hasn't already been asked for.

I know East to West is there but that doesn't really help with the hockeyettan or oberliga for example

Easy fix, will patch it in once I update the schedule. I have someone looking at the AlpsHL structure, that one has always given us problems. Any other issues of note?

I'm up to September 9, 2022, I didn't get any errors that stopped my progress without the AlpsHL (I haven't done anything myself either, just kept going on vacation). Some strange team-player decisions like Anthony Beauvillier, Nolan Patrick, Adam Larsson, and Ilya Samsonov both leaving to go to the KHL. Beauvillier came back.

I don't know what the rules are for the KHL, but some teams have DM's and some don't.

DMs?

Yea I asked Riz to tone down the aggressiveness of the European club AI in general. Players who came off of NHL contracts or last played in the NHL should wait until later July/early August before agreeing to go-to Europe (unless 35+ year old European national going "home" to retire). I may resort to lowering club/league reps but that's a larger project I really just want to only use as a last resort.

DM is domestic players.

There looks to be an error here now that I'm looking at it: Nolan Patrick has a full stat line for Iserholn Roosters, plus playoffs for 2022-23, even though I'm in November of 2022, and a stat line for Barys for the same season, but in his achievement history, does appear he signed with Iserholn on September 2, 2021. He signed with Barys on May 11, 2022. Also, Iserholn's schedule calendar of games for 21-22 only goes to December and then is blank until exhibition games in August, but changing the view has their whole schedule for the season.

Beauvillier signed with Barys on August 18, 2021, and his stat line looks correct.

Can you report these as potential bugs to the SI forum and upload your save to SI? Just make sure to provide the name of the save game in the post.

Ok, so, I’m back into playing around with a database, which is ECK’s public beta, but now I’m back into my personal world building, adding just my Philadelphia KHL team and running it, affiliated with the Erie Otters and Norfolk Admirals (just to see how it would work, I was able to recall some of those players but couldn’t send back until I guess their season began -- edit: actually this seems to be inconsistent) and it’s not letting me sign any free agent under 20. I’m guessing it’s mainly because the KHL isn’t really designed to have North American teams but I’m wondering how I can resolve that.

Also, is there a way to make free agents who are European (some are unsigned nhl players) more amenable to signing with me? I have managed to signed some decent players otherwise like Cizikas, Beauvillier, Jake McCabe, Ian Cole), but I can't get any youth players

So remember KHL and most european teams don't sign junior or youth players, they grow them via their affiliated junior programs. It might make more sense for you to take U14,16,18 and 20 American junior AAA teams and affiliate them to your NHL, AHL and ECHL teams and see how that works. You just may want to bump the reputations a bit of those junior programs.

Yeah, I know that was a whole system, but when I ran one on my last long-term save I was still able to buy and sell U20 players, but I was running Dinamo Riga so they were actually European. I did manage to find a couple of 19 year olds to sign, I’m not sure the difference I think it was because their junior rights expired.

I was able to make a trade to get a few Russian youth players. What actually happened was that I was able to sign Vince Dunn and Anthony Duclair, but they still managed to sign back with NHL teams even though KHL doesn’t have foreign release clauses like they would do in other European leagues. Beauvillier and Sam Reinhart also signed new deals with their NHL teams but I still have them for the season.

I was toying with the idea of affiliating in the USHL/NAHL/EHL. I know EHL is not playable as a U18 league which is actually probably good. If I add Canadian teams I suppose they would do the same in like the OJHL or something. I’ll toy with that next time I test this db.

One other thing I found was with the schedule, I have one team listed in the standings not playing any games, it’s Vityaz so I guess that’s determined alphabetically. Is there something else I have to do on rules & structures to make every team actually has a schedule?

You would have to manually edit the schedule template, that's a big bag of worms and not easy. You can't just simply add a team and everything will work, there are a lot of things that have to be adjusted in most cases. It's why I can't support or help with any modifications to the DB, there is just so much that can go wrong without knowing exactly what was modified.

Hmm. Is there a way to learn that somehow?

Updated the 2021-22 beta release with several fixes and new enhancements, please see the change notes!

Steam Workshop::[2021-22] xECK29x's Premier Pivot Database (v6 Beta - Work in Progress Public Test)

I would specifically like feedback (and save games for):

- 4+ year sims with all NCAA leagues enabled, I want to see if teams are more aggressive in recruiting players, specifically those who end up being drafted by the NHL. My testing shows its looking better but I want feedback.
- Sims with the leagues where schedules were updated for 2021-22, just to make sure there are no issues (2+ years preferred).

Thanks!

Heh, the Flyers are signing Cizikas from the recent save I'm running. I wonder if having a KHL team in the same city as the Flyers makes the Flyers be more familiar with my players and makes them want them.
