Eastern Conference Wild Card Watch

Sens and Habs should be afraid of facing Tampa, Kucherov is unstoppable, Vasilevsky is back in form. Toronto give either team a better chance.

Washington is a bit of a wild card. Since signing his new contract, Logan Thompson's save % has declined from .930 to .910, he's been about .885 since than. Great offensive team, but can they defend and stop the puck? Mind you, Lindgren is a pretty good goalie, he could save the series.

NYR should be humiliated.

Not at all surprised. A box of rocks coaches that team. Should have been let go at 4 Nations.

I'm disappointed that CBJ probably isn't (still mathematically possible) going to make it. They were quite a story this season.

Early congrats to MTL and OTT. I'm really looking forward to a battle of Ontario in round 1! Hope the standings don't change over the last few games and rob us of that matchup!

F*** the battle of Ontario. Habs vs Leafs is a classic. Need more of that.

I’ve seen a lot of conflicting replies in this thread so idk if I should believe you

Unsigned draft picks are on the team’s reserve list, which makes them eligible. Very common for NCAA players who can’t sign until their season is over.

Unexpectedly strong season for Montreal. Since December they've been among the top-10 teams in the league – pretty damn good for such a young team. Playoffs are a huge bonus, no matter what happens.

Washington is a heavy favourite, as they should be, but moving forward the Habs look they're on the right path.

Although we haven't clinched the second wildcard spot yet, the odds are good that we will.

As far as facing the Caps goes, it really doesn't matter to most Hab fans. We are happy just to be there, and it's more about the experience gained than thinking we have a shot at winning the series. ;)

Habs are the 2nd youngest team in the NHL........they were supposed to just be in the mix.
Interesting turn of events after the 4 Nations Cup.
