I like watching the playoffs just to see Toronto get eliminated in the 1st round. This year, unfortunately, they are making the 2nd round if the standings stay the same.

Oh well, I guess NHL needs a new team to make fun of after getting 1st round eliminations.

Why so petty? Leafs beat the Lightning 2 years ago yet lost to the Habs 4 years ago.

Whatever happens to the Habs and the Sens in the playoffs it’ll still be a massive win for both franchises to make it to the post-season. Young players gain a lot from playing in meaningful games and just understanding what it takes to make the playoffs. It’s a confidence builder for the group and it solidifies what they did to reach their goal. It gives trust to the management that the coaching staff is doing the right thing and it gives trust to the players that their coaches are helping them reach their collective goal.

It’ll give some more fuel to the players in the offseason knowing they can actually make it next season if they work hard. The goal is now not to make the playoffs but to win in the playoffs. A key developmental step for any team.

There's like three legit competitive teams in the East. You shouldn't think so highly of yourself.

"anti fanatic" behaviour. -True, I won't win any trophies being a good fanatic; which further implies unbalanced or obsessive behavior.

Says the guy that can’t wait for a team to be knocked out of the playoffs so he can return “karma”

Id be suprised to see Jensen until playoffs at this point. He's got a bad groin/hip flexer thing going on for a while. Hasn't practiced much if at all in 2025 and has missed a bunch of games here and there.

Brady shouldn't play unless he is 100 percent. I think Zub has battled a few nagging injuries he may get some games off.

Giroux might too. He's older and played alot of hockey.

But I don't think it will be to avoid tampa. I think its the mindset these guys are really banged up and they aren't winning anything without them at their best.

Not just knocked out, but dramatically knocked out. I want to see massive hard hitting physical play and cheap shots. That's what brings me out of my seat.

Getting all giddy just thinking about it.
 
It definitely feels like the Sens are down a few guys even if they're dressed in the lineup (or not as it relates to Brady).

At this point its like, whats the difference between the Caps, Leafs, Bolts? They're all equal in my mind which is to say they are significantly better than us lol. Might as well rest up.
