I think he tests FA. He wants to get back to the USA. His GF is a pro golfer, obviously Ottawa can't offer that lifestyle year round. i think he is traded within the next month or so.

That and I don't think Eugene will pay that much for him.

It was pretty brief and being strong both ways requires more than a strong back check. Guy can skate like the wind, I dont think anyone has ever questioned that. It's when he has to use his head rather than his feet that raises questions.

He can skate like the wind absolutely he also does a great job at directing the oppositions breakout to the point on the ice where they look for a turnover.

How many times did Dzingel skate the puck out of trouble in the sens zone last night? 4 maybe 5 times, after almost every other line got hemmed in. Would you say thats a part of his skillset that makes him a two way player... I sure do.

This is a made up narrative. I dont get it, multiple posters have said this now but there isnt any proof. One person said it so now other people are repeating it... He is also from Chicago the same climate as Ottawa pretty much.

While I agree Eugene is likely too cheap the rest has absolutely no precedence.

There you go again with narratives. It is just his opinion looking at other facts in his life.

He's a good old American boy and he has a chance to play out the rest of his career in God's country...he def goes home.

I think if all things are equal, you're probably correct.

That said, I bet he would happily sign here and I bet he would happily sign with any team that offers up opportunity (something we clearly do, as he's been played in the top 6 for the past 100+ games) and money and term (TBD).

He can skate the puck out, the biggest problem with Dzingel is consistency not just defensively but offensively as well. I liked his jump last night, seems that OT goal might have given him a spark but let’s not pretended these last two weeks he played like that. When’s he’s not on some of the decisions he makes are junior level mistakes.

So just another assumption...I can come back and say he is going to be loyal to the organization because they took a chance on him with a late round pick and have developed him into being a multi millionaire playing hockey. Doesnt mean he feels that way but if I say it enough im sure some other posters will pick it up and then it will be a common conclusion that we all agree on.

That's odd. I feel the exact opposite. I see Dzingel being pretty consistent in what he brings. He doesnt look much different when he's scoring or not scoring. He's mostly creating stuff with his skating, gets lots of breaks and half breaks consistently. Works Dmen outside and inside. I was just going over his game sheets from this year and he's only failed to register a shot twice and only had 5 or more shots twice. He has 2 or 3 SoG in 20/29 games. His longest point drought has been 3 games and only 2 other 2 game point droughts, has at least a point in 17 of 29 games.

Maybe you don't like his game but imo its very very consistent across the board.
