They can put him in the lineup no problem, its not going to help the team win. Its just sad a hot topic is if this guy plays or not, it shows how bad this team is. Not sure what they could get for him in a trade no matter what he does but hey, throw him in there. Its basically subbing one useless player for another.

Just play him against slower teams occasionally and wait it out till someone has a 2nd line center injury and the team starts to fall off...then make a reasonable trade....easy as pie.
