Agreed, Heinola isn't close to ready for a top pairing slot and if we are very lucky in two to three years he might be capable of top pairing minutes.
It's amazing how quickly Morrisey has gone from stud to dud after one half a poor season where he wasn't healthy. He is still the best dmen on the team and will bounce back to being a very good all around top pairing guy next season imo.
Lundmark is a RHD.Future LHD
JMo Slamberg Heinola Stanley Lundmark Vallati Niku?
Not a bad crop. Did I forget anyone?

Actually I doubt Sami is moving on. He likely gets qualified and signed for something in the $1 - $1.2 M range on a bridge and is given an opportunity to earn a spot. A DeMelo signing likely relegates him to 3rd pairing work with Poolman assuming he takes a step forward with his defensive game. Altogether this gives us a pretty nice back end next season if the pieces all come together.
This defense has come a long way in a very short time considering we changed out Buff , Trouba , Myers and Charoit all in one season . . Only 3 more days and it will be a month since we last saw a Jets game .
The RD isn’t as high quality as in past, but it’s much better than we started the season with. This defense has come a long way in a very short time considering we changed out Buff , Trouba , Myers and Charoit all in one season . . Evolving Hockey's contract projection model suggests that Niku would sign for 1 year and 792K (assuming a salary cap of 81.5M).No way he gets an offer of 1 mil +.

It’s only 2 days without a Jets game for me. I have NHL Live and I’ve been rewatching games from this season... it’s either that or strip down to my boxers, paint my body purple, put a diaper on my head and run amuck.

I still have the last game against the Oilers on PVR , i think i've watched it 6 times . Never gets old watching the Jets beat the Oilers though .The RD isn’t as high quality as in past, but it’s much better than we started the season with.

Niku's qualifying offer is $882,000 according to cap friendly. The Jets not nudging that up to the million dollar range would indicate they see no future for him in the organization. No way he gets an offer of 1 mil +.
