Value of: Dylan Larkin

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Gonna bump this as there’s a not so zero chance he gets moved this off season. Is it likely? No. Is it a possibility that he may want out? Huge possibility.
Still 0 chance.

How about this. To any fan of an opposing team that wants Larkin. Pick a center in your lineup that's 25 years old or younger and you KNOW is better than Larkin. There should be 0 doubt in anyone's mind that you're downgrading. Also they have to be on a great contract. Then add a top 15 pick or a young, cheap top 4 defenseman.

That's the price. Want to pay it? I didn't think so.

I think he's quite happy in Detroit and Detroit needs him more than they think. Plus it's his hometown team.

If I'm trading him, I'm putting quite a high value on him because he's got all the tools imaginable and the only one I can think of that has just as many is likely McDavid.

Larkin is the definition of the perfect player minus the physicality.

Yeah, there's no way Detroit is dangling him given he's signed long term on a very reasonable contract.

Agreed, Like as a habs fan he's exactly what we need behind (or in front of) suzuki and I'd be willing to give up a kings ransom to get him.

Something along the lines of our 2-1sts this year, our 1st next year, Struble and Kapanen,

Hell I'd even be willing to do Hage and a 1st

I know Detroit fans won't take it but in my head that's kind of the offer I'd expect teams to give up for him

I don't see the Wings trading him unless it's for a better or equivalent and younger or similarly aged center. So that would be for one of Hughes, Thompson, Thomas, Eichel, Suzuki, Stützle, Johnston, Celebrini or Bedard. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense for everybody involved

The Eastern conference is a puddle of similarly decent teams fighting for a limited number of playoff spots, so I get it must be deflating for some Wings fans, but they're way too good to rebuild which is what trading Larkin for lesser pieces would amount to

He’s about to hit 4 straight years of 30+ goals while putting up 70 points every year and 55% in the faceoff dot. He’s worth a lot more than just hage and a 1st and you know that.
