I was hoping we would keep Holloway, and let Broberg walk.

I didn't understand not matching Holloway, and I still don't.

It's unfortunate to, he loved Edmonton and will miss playing that high intensity playoff hockey

I really do not care about the implications for Edmonton, but if you think any team wouldn't be better with Dylan Holloway you are wrong.

What if Holloway was still an Oiler and the Oilers are lower in the standings?

The Oilers look really good right now and that’s without Kane too

I think the primary reason why he wasn’t matched was because him and Broberg teamed up in an unprecedented way to put the Oilers in a bad spot. I imagine that many ownership or management groups wouldn’t feel slighted.

That being said I doubt Oilers management expected Holloway to break out quite like this. Also I doubt he would have the same production in Edmonton that he has had in St. Louis. Edmonton is doing fine but they could of used Holloway this year:

I was more about resigning Broberg than Holloway. But he is douming remakable, a d for him it was the best move to get to a middle team, a team that is stable, but not favourites. I do wonder. Cause I suspect, that young players having a hard time to develope here. What the oilers should do to make better developement steps

Holloway does great on a line where all are equal. Not just hunt for the puck role. He is like european players, allrounded.

His future is incredibly bright. He's 3rd on the Blues with 32 points and has a motor that doesn't quit. His confidence seems to be through the roof. He has 13 points in his last 8 games including a hattrick vs Detroit. He's fun to watch.

I don't expect to see 20 offer sheets accepted each offseason, but I'm guessing more will be attempted than previous years.
Great move by the Blues and first thing you notice about his play is his non stop motor...

He’s a horse, some good young power forwards breaking into the league right now with him, Voronkov, Knies, Slafkovsky, Cuylie.
